Dutch shipyard Feadship delivered Air to a repeat client in 2011. Air is an 81m motor yacht with naval architecture and exterior design by De Voogt, while Remi Tessier is responsible for her interior design. Upon launch, the Feadship drew particular attention for her Harley Davidson matt black hull created by a paint system based on nanotech technology.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.6m beam and a 3.55m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,893 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2008. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2011.
Exterior Design
Air is notable for her stunning matt black Harley Davidson paintwork. The Feadship features large windows throughout flooding the minimalist interiors with natural light. The helipad is on the aft upper deck. The yacht has clean sleek lines typical of the architect De Voogt, while also incorporating a distinctive Feadship flared bow.
Interior Design
Air’s highly sophisticated and minimalistic interior, created by Remi Tessier Design, is simply stunning and is enhanced by impressive artwork, large windows, and open doorways. The main materials used include matt-finished sycamore, leather, matt-finished special paint, high gloss stainless steel, palladium leaf, back-lit white onyx, off-white and black limestone, and a wealth of carved glass. Acknowledging her Italian owner, numerous pieces within the interior boast an exquisite Italian design.
The superyacht Air safeguards an exquisite private collection of artwork, including notable pieces by Rochko, among other distinguished artists. While this collection remains private to the public, charter guests have the privilege of admiring these remarkable works during their stay.
Accommodation
Air offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in seven beautifully crafted suites.
The split-level owner's cabin is located on the main deck. One VIP cabin, four double cabins, and one twin cabin complete the guest accommodation layout. The owner's observation lounge boasts a breathtaking view over the eight-metre-long pool on the vast main deck forward area.
Air has the capacity to carry up to 21 crew onboard to ensure operational effectiveness and a superior guest experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M60) 16-cylinder 2,360hp engines, motor yacht Air is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 177,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Leisure & Entertainment
The superyacht AIR boasts a fully equipped gym and wellness center with dedicated massage and treatment rooms. Complete with air conditioning for heightened onboard comfort, this vessel also offers easy accessibility with its built-in elevator. Furthermore, AIR showcases a deck jacuzzi that provides breathtaking panoramic views and complements the open-air cinema on the deck.
The expansive sun deck is where the guests can enjoy the fully equipped gym, lounging areas both aft and forward, the Jacuzzi, and a 102” pop-up television screen for outdoor movie viewing. Air features a large foldable swimming platform with a bar.
Tenders
Air carries two 9.8-meter tenders in dedicated and fully enclosed bays.
Special Features
Air was the first superyacht ever built under Annex 2 of LY2 to have a fully certified commercial helicopter pad. Her unique matt black hull was painted with a specialised and eco-friendly nano coating technique.
