Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 853 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the ninth yacht built on the Amels 60 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of the Amels 6009 yacht combines traditional elements with modern aesthetics to create a clean, contemporary seagoing experience. The design features distinctive trapezoid windows of the Amels 60 range that provide expansive views from the owner's suite.
The yacht's 29-meter sun deck is notable for its hardtop mast, crisp lines, and overhangs. This area includes a Jacuzzi for six people, a bar and shaded dining facilities. Forward of the jacuzzi, the deck can be converted into a Touch-and-Go helipad, accommodating aircraft up to 3,000 kg Maximum Take-Off Weight. The foredeck also houses a crane for deploying the yacht's tenders and waverunners, allowing for easy launch and retrieval.
The beach club is a versatile 28-square-metre (301 sq ft) space designed for relaxation and water activities. Connected to the lower deck guest suites and central staircase, it provides easy access whether at anchor, underway, or in the marina.
A large swim platform extends from the transom door, creating a waterside retreat complete with a sauna. The area can be customised for a range of ocean activities, from swimming and snorkelling to diving and watersports. Reboarding is effortless, with a removable carbon swim ladder or the option of integrated hydraulic swim stairs for added convenience.
Accommodation
Amels 6009 offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck and 1 VIP cabin. The owner's suite on the main deck features large trapezoid-shaped windows, and also includes a folding balcony that opens up into a 7 square-meter terrace.
The yacht's guest accommodation is connected directly to the Beach Club, thanks to the direct access from the Lower Deck Guest Suites. These suites are designed to ensure that guests can enjoy comfort and privacy while aboard.
She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel-electric MTU (12V 2000 M72) engines, motor yacht Amels 6009 is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 122,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. The Amels 6009 has a hybrid propulsion system is designed to deliver efficient and versatile power management.
In the "Silent Cruising" mode, the yacht is propelled by hybrid electrical drive motors, achieving a speed of 7 knots while maintaining a quiet and smooth operation. This mode combines batteries and generators to ensure a tranquil cruising experience.
The "Eco Cruising" mode operates between 7 to 14 knots, and harnesses the main engines to generate both propulsion and electrical power, optimizing fuel use and minimizing environmental impact.
In situations demanding maximum speed and power, the "Full Power" mode engages batteries, generators, and main engines to propel the yacht to a top speed of 15.5 knots. This mode ensures robust performance with the added advantage of a full hotel load and additional battery backup.
