The 76.61m motor yacht Boadicea was delivered to her owners in 1999 by Dutch shipyard Amels. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Terence Disdale, while Amels is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 14m beam and a 4.2m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 2,191 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The Amel yacht Boadicea showcases a sleek, classic design. A sharply-raked bow leads to a functional foredeck for tender and watercraft storage with a crane for easy launching. While the guest seating area on the foredeck offers a comfortable space, the true allure of the yacht lies in its luxurious exterior spaces elsewhere. The upper deck, for example, features a welcoming forward-facing guest space sheltered beneath the bridge deck overhang, perfect for enjoying panoramic views in style.
At the stern, the expansive bathing platform offers a retreat by the water's edge. Two sweeping teak staircases descend on each side of the yacht. Opening the glazed sliding doors further enhances the beach club area.
For relaxation and socializing, the aft decks on all levels provide inviting spaces with a blend of comfort and sophistication. From the main deck's cozy seating to the upper deck's ample dining area, guests can unwind in luxurious surroundings.
The bridge deck offers a haven for wellness enthusiasts, with a spa area and outdoor workout space boasting stunning views. However, it is the sun deck that steals the spotlight as the pièce de résistance, boasting an expansive teak deck that affords sweeping vistas from its elevated vantage point.
Boadicea's grey hull stands in stark contrast to the brilliance of her white superstructure, creating a visually captivating effect. Along the waterline, a feature ledge divides the smaller portholes of the lower deck from the sleek, vertical rectangular portholes on the main deck. The yacht's lines are impeccably clean and streamlined from bow to stern, reflecting a timeless sense of elegance.
The design team ingeniously opened up the side decks by incorporating wide openings in the superstructure. This thoughtful touch ensures uninterrupted views from the interior spaces. Additionally, vertical windows set within the bulwarks in pairs or trios infuse the interior with ample natural light, enhancing the overall ambiance and creating a sense of spaciousness throughout.
Interior Design
Terence Disdale opts for a serene ambiance aboard, utilizing a light wood, cream, and ivory palette complemented by subtle metal accents. The ceilings boast a crisp white hue and streamlined design, enhanced by strategically placed lighting for an inviting, luminous feel. Wooden flooring forms a neutral foundation, occasionally adorned with understated rugs for a touch of elegance. Vibrant bursts of color emerge from carefully selected artwork, while plants inject vitality and movement into the space. Cream leather sofas adorned with steel details offer comfortable seating options near expansive windows, inviting relaxation. Cozy sitting areas prioritize comfort, featuring plush furnishings adorned with scatter cushions featuring marine life motifs for added charm.
Accommodation
Boadicea hosts a total of 12 guests, with additional room for six supernumeraries, across its nine well-appointed cabins. The flexible cabin layout includes eight double cabins and a twin cabin. One VIP suite is a double-depth lateral cabin on the main deck. The large lower deck suites all feature marble bathrooms, and handmade Italian leather and raw silk fixtures and fittings.
At the core of guest accommodation is the private owner’s deck, which presents a generously proportioned suite. The area features a large private terrace, a study, and a private salon for more intimate gatherings. The king-size bed with chinoiserie silk printed headboard faces full-height windows through which a 180-degree view is virtually unobstructed. Twin bathrooms include a spa pool bath, and a dressing area is featured within the full beam suite.
The crew's quarters accommodate the captain and 21 additional crew members, ensuring a high staff-to-guest ratio for attentive and personalized service.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516-B DITA) 2,590hp engines, motor yacht Boadicea is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 290,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,200 nautical miles at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Wellness
The spa and fitness center onboard Boadicea is situated on the bridge deck. It includes a steam bath and a hydromassage hot tub. Adjacent to the spa, a massage room, and beauty and hair salon is available for personalized treatments. The 6m sunken swimming pool on the sun deck features a resistance training system.
