Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.82m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 421 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Il Sole features a raked bow, enhancing its hydrodynamic efficiency and giving it a sleek profile. The yacht's deck is constructed from teak, known for its durability and resistance to harsh marine environments. The hull and superstructure are both painted white, contributing to a clean and classic aesthetic. The boot top and the area below the waterline are finished in black, providing a striking contrast to the white exterior.

The upper deck of Il Sole has been extended almost to the stern, offering a large and well-protected aft main deck. This design consideration provides ample shaded areas, essential for comfort in regions with intense sun exposure. The extended upper deck also accommodates two Novurania tenders, while still leaving sufficient space for an additional outdoor dining area. This area is equipped with a teak-topped table and a free-standing unit that includes a barbecue, sink, and ice-maker, efficiently separating the dining space from the boat-deck area.

The sun-deck emphasizes outdoor living, featuring pockets of cozy seating and a dining table at the forward part, grouped around a wet bar and barbecue. A dumb-waiter connects this area to the main galley for easy supply delivery. The aft section of the sun-deck is dedicated to sunning cushions and includes a mini-pool, allowing guests to enjoy full sunshine.

Interior Design

The main deck saloon is an expansive space that includes a formal dining area for up to 12 guests. The large dining table is versatile, easily converting into a roulette table for added entertainment. Adjacent to the dining area, the media room features a collection of books focused on modern art, fashion, and interior design. Entertainment options in this room include a projection screen, plasma television, and a Kaleidescape DVD video system.

The dining room itself houses a 12-seater crystal-topped table edged in cherry wood, illuminated from below. This room connects to a pantry with a dumb-waiter serving the two upper decks, ensuring efficient service from the adjacent galley. The galley and crew quarters are accessible from here, facilitating smooth operations.

On the upper deck, the saloon maintains a similar design to the main saloon, with comfortable white sofas, a games table, and a karaoke system for entertainment. The pilothouse is equipped with the latest navigational aids and features black leather decor to minimize reflections, enhancing visibility and functionality.

Accommodation

Il Sole offers accommodation for up to 12 guests. The yacht features a total of six well-appointed cabins, ensuring ample space and privacy for all onboard.

The master suite, located on the main deck, is designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and luxury. It includes a spacious sleeping area, a walk-in dressing room, and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower and a Jacuzzi steam bath. The suite's design contrasts with the rest of the yacht, featuring black lacquer below the dado rail and red onyx surfaces for the cabinets and side tables. The bathroom continues this theme with black lacquer, Portoro marble, and rare Porto Venere marble on the Jacuzzi steam bath, complemented by gold-plated fittings.

Il Sole's guest accommodation comprises two double cabins and three twin cabins, all located on the lower deck. The furthest forward cabin was initially intended for a high-ranking butler but was converted to a guest cabin. Each cabin is decorated uniformly, with cherry wood below the dado rail and white silk above, providing a cohesive and elegant environment for guests.

For the crew, Il Sole offers practical and comfortable living quarters. The crew accommodation, located in the forward part of the lower deck, is finished in natural oak and includes a spacious mess and living quarters. Additionally, a converted sauna/gym space aft of the engine room has been transformed into two crew cabins, supplying three extra berths, ensuring that the crew is well-catered for during extended voyages.
