Delivered in 1969, Nereus is a 102' motor yacht for sale built by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 21'4" beam and a 6'11" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 184 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

On deck, Nereus features a generous aft cockpit area, providing a welcoming space for guests to gather and enjoy the surroundings. The inclusion of a bathing platform adds to the yacht's appeal, offering easy access to the water for swimming and other aquatic activities.

The design of Nereus respects its original layout, avoiding the urge to overcrowd the space. This approach ensures an open and inviting atmosphere throughout the exterior deck areas. The foredeck houses a substantial windlass system, while the upper deck offers a boat deck equipped with cranes for tender storage, maintaining the yacht's classic aesthetic without compromising on necessary modern equipment.

Nereus is characterized by its timeless decor, choice materials, and modern amenities thoughtfully incorporated into the classic framework of this distinguished yacht.

Interior Design

The main salon, showcasing her classic style, features original design elements that have been preserved and integrated with up-to-date conveniences. The space is reminiscent of the era in which she was built, yet upgraded to meet modern standards. Rich wood paneling lines the walls, while soft carpeting underfoot adds comfort and warmth. The furniture, a collection of period-appropriate pieces, is upholstered in high-quality fabrics that offer both visual and tactile satisfaction.

In the separate dining area, guests can gather around the large table for a communal experience, surrounded by built-in storage for crockery and glassware. Overhead, elegant light fixtures are chosen for their classic design and soft illumination, contributing to the room's inviting atmosphere.

In the helm, the wheel, as classic as it gets, is complemented by the latest SIMRAD navigation and camera systems.

The galley is outfitted with modern Miele appliances, offering the latest in culinary technology. Storage solutions are intelligently designed, ensuring that every utensil and piece of equipment has its place, contributing to the galley's orderliness and functionality.

Accommodation

Nereus can accommodate six guests, across three well-appointed suites, ensuring comfort and privacy for all aboard.

The owner's suite stands out with its ample space, featuring a walk-in wardrobe for storage and convenience. The suite includes a bathroom layout with twin toilets and a central shower, catering to the needs of discerning guests while maintaining aesthetic integrity. The integration of a modern flat-screen television within the suite exemplifies the yacht's commitment to providing current amenities alongside its vintage charm.

Adjacent suites include a VIP cabin and a twin cabin, each with en-suite facilities. The VIP cabin offers a double bed setup, while the twin cabin is furnished with two single beds, both maintaining the same level of sophistication and functionality as the owner's suite. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning and lighting control systems.

Crew accommodation for five is comprised of multiple cabins, complete with comfortable bedding and en-suite facilities. The crew area also includes a mess area with a TV and a secondary galley, enabling the crew to operate with efficiency and comfort.

Performance & Capabilities

At the heart of the Nereus's mechanical prowess are its twin Caterpillar (3196) 660hp engines, maintained to deliver peak performance. These propel the yacht to a top speed of 14 knots. However, it is at her cruising speed of 11 knots that Nereus truly excels, boasting a considerable range of 3,000 nautical miles, thus affirming her capacity for extended voyages and ocean crossings.

Nereus is also equipped with advanced electrical systems, including converters that allow for seamless shore power connectivity across the globe. This functionality is indicative of the yacht's modern technical capabilities, which are intelligently integrated into her classic build.

The engine room is not only immaculately kept but also houses the latest in marine technology. From the modern air conditioning systems to the sophisticated monitoring equipment, every detail is designed to uphold the highest standards of maritime engineering. With attention to quiet operation, the Nereus features watertight doors that isolate the engine room and reduce noise, ensuring tranquility throughout the vessel.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
