Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 29'2" beam and a 7'8" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 380 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2022 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project San'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
San has a striking profile with a dark grey hull and superstructure, accented by black trim and glazing. This 'predatory' profile is enhanced by a raised pilothouse and sharp lines.
The main deck is fully open from stern to bow, providing ample space for sunbathing and alfresco dining. Folding aft bulwarks further expand this area, making it adaptable for various activities.
The raised pilot house is a modern feature with full-height glass facades and sliding doors, allowing for easy movement between the interior and the main deck. This design ensures that guests can enjoy unobstructed views and a connection to the surrounding environment.
The exterior deck furniture is multi-functional. Tables can convert from a dining setup to an evening cocktail arrangement, and sunbathing areas can be transformed into intimate seating. The aft deck sunbathing area can be expanded by folding down the bulwarks, providing additional outdoor living space.
Interior Design
The interior design of San is characterized by minimalist and detail-oriented decor, ensuring a focus on both functionality and aesthetics. Rich detailing and ornamentation are evident throughout the yacht. The use of full-height windows keeps the surrounding scenery always in view, enhancing the connection with the marine environment.
The helm, located in the raised-pilot house, is designed with full-height glass facades and sliding doors, allowing for a clear view of the yacht's superstructure and surroundings. This design choice facilitates a seamless transition between the indoors and the outdoor main deck.
The main saloon, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides, offers 360-degree views, a rare feature for a yacht of this size. This design choice floods the interior with natural light, enhancing the open and airy feel. The saloon's layout is sunken by 60 centimetres, providing uninterrupted sight lines from the aft to the bow. White, L-shaped sofas are strategically placed in each corner of the rectangular lounge, allowing guests to socialize easily while enjoying views through the expansive glass windows. The main saloon includes a dining area forward to port and a starboard credenza concealing steps to the lower deck. Furniture is minimal, with a custom high-gloss dining table designed by Sinot and built by Soraman in Italy, paired with Cassina chairs.
A soft leather is used in two tones, light on the lower deck and dark in the bridge, contributing to a calm and unified aesthetic. Walls and ceilings are covered in a cream-coloured fabric, while the seating upholstery comes from Zimmer & Rohde or Loro Piana in white. Beige Pierre de Luget stone is consistently used throughout, from bathrooms to the cantilevered sundeck bar. The selection of woods includes eucalyptus, teak, wenge details, and two tones of oak for walls and floors, with a white-washed oak finish for durability.
The galley is positioned on the lower deck, designed to facilitate efficient service to guest areas. It is part of a carefully planned layout that maximizes the yacht's volume.
Accommodation
The yacht SAN accommodates guests in a forward master suite and four additional double guest cabins, all located on the lower deck. The master suite is well-appointed with a walk-in wardrobe, providing a private and spacious retreat for the owner.
Accommodation for seven crew is positioned forward of the aft engine room. The layout leverages the yacht's beam to fit in essential spaces such as storage, a galley, and crew areas, optimizing the use of available space without compromising on comfort or access.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel Volvo Penta (D13) 691hp engines, motor yacht San is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 11,539 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,400 nautical miles at 18 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
