Alia Yachts has announced it has reunited with Dutch design studio Vripack on the build of a new 60m (197ft), “go-anywhere”, ice-class yacht.
The pair had previously worked together on 55m (180ft) 'Al Waab', delivered by the Turkish yard earlier this year. Vripack will once again take responsibility for the interior and exterior design of the, as yet, unnamed superyacht.

Alia Yachts has revealed the owner is an experienced yachtsman, who has owned several vessels of various sizes over the past decade. His brief for this project was for an ice-class, go-anywhere yacht that can accommodate a large family for long periods at a time, so he can travel around the world with his family.
In accordance with his wishes, the yacht will feature an interior volume of 810GT and “generous exterior spaces”. Unusually, in an effort to ensure the yacht is as easy to operate and maintain for the crew as possible, the galley and crew salon/dinette is on the main deck forward, which also features a technical room with access to the side-loading tender garage.
One of the highlights will be what is being described as a ‘sprawling beach club’, which also has a massage room, dive store, steam shower, and a gym and chillout zone. Accommodation-wise, the yacht will feature two cabins with twin single beds, four VIPS with double beds. A master stateroom will be on the upper-deck forward with high views across the water, and a dedicated owner lounge overlooking a private foredeck.

We do know the new yacht is set to have one thing in common with Al Waab, she will feature semi-transparent, lower deck, side panels to create a wind-protected area and further connection to the water. The new project is scheduled for delivery in 2024.
Dutch design studio Vripack has been responsible for the design of a number of yachts over the years, this project will usurp its previous collaboration with Alia Yachts on 55m (180ft) Al Waab as its largest to date.
Alia Yachts is located in the port of Antalya in Turkey and just a few weeks ago delivered 36m (118ft) ‘Phi Phantom’ to her Owner. The yacht is acting as a support vessel to the Royal Huisman yacht PHI, which at 58.5m (192ft) is the world’s longest motor yacht in the sub-500GT category.
