Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.44m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,029 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Samurai yacht presents a striking low-rise profile marked by bold vertical windows. The superstructure's arching elegance and the elongated aft overhangs offer a visual statement.

The Sun Deck is an expansive area, shaded by strategically placed sails to offer relief from the sun. There's a convenient shower on one side, perfect for a quick cool down after soaking up the sun. The area under the permanent hardtop strikes a balance between open and enclosed spaces. It's equipped with a big screen that allows natural light to filter through, providing shade without sacrificing the open, airy feel of being on the water. At the very front of the Sun Deck, you'll find luxurious sun loungers, inviting you to relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean. Just ahead, the pièce de résistance, a jacuzzi, serves as the perfect spot to unwind and take in the spectacular surroundings in absolute comfort.

The main deck aft cockpit area features a shaded lounge area with a U-shaped outdoor sofa.

The expansive foredeck area serves as a storage space for the tender and as a secluded spot for relaxation under the shade, perfect for taking in the views.

At the stern, the transformative beach club extends the yacht’s connection to the sea, featuring a teak-faced platform that lowers to water level and a sauna.

Samurai encapsulates luxury yachting - combining comfort and adventure into an unforgettable experience.

Interior Design

The interior of Samurai reflects a distinct Japanese design theme. The main saloon serves as the central hub for socializing and relaxation, showcasing a spacious and well-appointed area. Its expansive layout is complemented by a sophisticated decor that emphasizes minimalism and balance, a signature of Japanese aesthetics.

Moving through the main deck, guests encounter a dedicated dining area. This space is purposefully designed for formal meals, with attention to the flow of movement and ease of service from the adjacent pantry areas. The use of natural materials, such as finely crafted wood and stone, creates an atmosphere of understated elegance.

The lobby area and atrium, located centrally on the main deck, functions as a junction point within Samurai. It offers side access for guests, allowing for discreet movement throughout the vessel. This area also doubles as an informal gathering space, subtly partitioned from the more private cabin areas.

The upper deck of Samurai features additional amenities, including a sunroom that serves as a versatile space for relaxation or entertainment. It is adjacent to a well-equipped pantry, which facilitates service to both the sunroom and the outdoor dining area.

A day head is conveniently located on each deck, ensuring that guests have easy access to restrooms without the need to traverse multiple levels of the yacht.

Accommodation

Samurai's thoughtful design provides accommodation for up to 12 guests across six elegantly appointed suites, ensuring a comfortable and private experience for all on board.

The main deck of Samurai houses the majority of the guest quarters, featuring four spacious cabins. Each cabin has twin beds that can be effortlessly converted into a double setup based on guest preferences. The inclusion of a dressing area and a private en-suite bathroom in each cabin underscores the yacht's commitment to comfort and convenience. The identical layout of these cabins ensures that each guest enjoys the same level of refinement.

A step above is the owner's suite, located at the forefront of the main deck. This master cabin is spacious and light, boasting a snug area for relaxation, a large bathroom with an impressive shower, and a separate area for office work. The adjoining dressing area completes the suite, offering an exclusive retreat for the owner.

In addition to the guest accommodation, Samurai provides quarters for up to 15 crew members, ensuring a high staff-to-guest ratio and the delivery of impeccable service. The crew area includes seven cabins, each with en-suite facilities.

Performance & Capabilities

Samurai is powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 series engines, each producing a formidable 3,860 horsepower. This  propels the yacht to a top speed of 21 knots, cruising at a speed of 11 to 12 knots. With a transatlantic range exceeding 4,000 nautical miles at cruising speed, it is evident that this vessel is built for extensive voyages.

For added comfort and stability on the water, Samurai features advanced stabilization systems. These systems are designed to reduce roll motion and enhance the onboard experience for guests, whether the yacht is underway or at anchor.

In terms of auxiliary power, Samurai is outfitted with three Caterpillar generators, ensuring reliable and efficient energy supply for all onboard systems and guest amenities.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, a beach club allows for easy access to the water and allows those on board to easily unwind. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
