Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.5m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,709 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.

Construction started in late 2011. Launched in May 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2014.

Exterior Design

Yalla boasts a dynamic, forward-leaning design with an elongated foredeck and sleek white lines throughout. Its hull features six large horizontal rectangular portholes followed by four spaced squares, culminating in a highly raked bow. A bold black boot strap adds contrast at the waterline, with occasional gunwale openings along the main deck.

The foredeck offers functional space for anchoring and mooring hardware, with expansive teak areas accessible via short stairways on either side. At the stern, a short bathing platform transforms into an extensive platform when the transom door lowers, revealing a large pool within an impressive beach club. Steep stairways on either side are protected by high topsides and the curved superstructure of the transom.

Curvature within the yacht's profile creates a forward-sweeping motion, leading from the main deck aft up and over to meet the foredeck of the upper deck, mirrored above with the arch of the upper deck aft meeting the raked glazing of the bridge.

From an aerial perspective, featured side wings of the deck overhangs provide depth of shadow for enhanced guest comfort. Access to the yacht's deck levels is facilitated by stairways on either side, leading up to the sun deck where guests can enjoy elevated views from the bar area and ample seating.

Yalla features a dynamic exterior with a forward-leaning design, sleek white lines, and a unique pool within an impressive beach club area at the stern, powered by twin diesel engines allowing speeds up to 19 knots.

Interior Design

Yalla maintains a high level of privacy, with no interior photographs available to the public. However, initial renders of the yacht's interior showcase a vision of modernity and contemporaneity. Mirrored wall panels were designed to cleverly reflect inset lighting, enhancing the ambiance in guest areas, while sections of wooden flooring with linear designs were planned to create visual interest. Light wood, white, and black carbon elements were intended to harmoniously contrast throughout the space, with large monochrome photography adding captivating focal points.

Cabins were to be appointed with large screens set within mirrored walls, complemented by marble accents, wooden floors with pronounced lines, and bespoke carpets featuring metal stud detailing along the edges. Furniture selections aimed to achieve a utilitarian yet stylish aesthetic, contributing to the overall sleek design. Textured ceiling panels were envisioned to originate from the headboard, adding further intrigue to the space.

Accommodation

Yalla offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin and 5 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 22 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
