Construction started in mid 2011. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2017.

Exterior Design

Starburst IV's lines are purpose-driven, featuring a balance that emphasizes both form and utility, designed to cater to the demands of life at sea. Spanning five decks, Starburst IV has a 13.5m beam which translates into generous outdoor spaces. The yacht's outdoor spaces include a private deck at the bow.

The aft deck is characterized by its swimming pool. The integration of a swimming pool into the main deck layout is a notable aspect of the yacht’s design, reflecting a blend of aesthetic appeal and practical use.

The beach club is another highlight of Starburst IV, extending from a platform at sea level to provide a substantial area for guests to come into close contact with the sea. This well-appointed space, which includes tables and sun loungers, fosters a relaxed beachside atmosphere right at the water’s edge.

The lower deck includes garages for tenders and water toys, maintaining the overall style of the yacht's interior and demonstrating the design's coherence throughout.

The upper deck features a saloon and dining area with the flexibility to open up to the environment, thanks to sliding glass panels that enhance the dining experience by inviting the outside in. This convertible space reinforces the yacht’s commitment to versatile living areas that can adapt to different occasions.

At the pinnacle of Starburst IV is the sun deck, an open space for guests to unwind and partake in leisure activities. It includes a jacuzzi, a water slide, and areas for casual dining, all designed to maximize enjoyment of the surroundings.

Starburst IV's interior is a harmonious blend of carefully selected materials and purposeful design, creating an environment that is as practical as it is refined.

Interior Design

The main saloon is characterized by symmetrical layouts and a consistent use of materials. Bleached oak is a dominant feature, cladding walls and deckheads, with grain patterns converging in a deliberate and uninterrupted flow. Lintels and columns, crafted as single pieces, contribute to the dignified atmosphere of the space, which serves as a versatile area for relaxation or entertainment, facilitated by a retractable cinema screen and projector.

The spa area on the main deck extends the theme of thoughtful design, featuring a massage table, hair salon, and a private bathroom. The inclusion of a fold-down balcony allows for an immersive experience with the surrounding marine environment.

The upper deck saloon and dining area offer a bright, open-plan space with natural light accentuating a sky scene mural. The area is designed for adaptability, with sliding glass panels facilitating an indoor-outdoor dining experience and the ability to convert to an open-air party deck.

On the owner's deck, the media room is designed as a personal retreat for the family, boasting comfortable seating and a large TV. The room seamlessly integrates with the aft deck, allowing for an outdoor cinema experience. Design continuity is evident through carpeting of mixed white wool and silk, and mother-of-pearl details that provide contrast against the pale oak.

Accommodation

Starburst IV offers accommodation for up to 16 guests in eight suites comprising an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin, four double cabins and two cabins that can operate as twins or doubles.

The centerpiece of Starburst IV's guest accommodation is the expansive owner's suite, positioned on the owner's deck. Fine details such as dark resin back-lit feature lights and carefully selected marine-themed artwork enhance the suite's intimate atmosphere. The suite also boasts spacious walk-in wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom, distinct in its choice of marbles, offers a unique aesthetic with classic and semi-classic botticino complemented by bush-hammered botticino on the floor, and a washbasin crafted from a velvety shade of cappuccino marble.

The VIP cabin, situated on the upper deck, offers a marble bathroom and features sliding floor-to-ceiling windows that provide direct access to the deck. The interior design continues the yacht's theme with leather inserts and piping on the double bed that echo the design motifs found within the owner's suite.

On the main deck, six additional double guest cabins are available, each finished with oak wood in seven different styles, imparting a sense of individuality to each space.  Each cabin is equipped with an advanced AV system, lights, and blinds managed by a Lutron system accessible through iPads. Bathrooms in the guest cabins feature a contrast of pure white calacatta marble floors against the depth of emperor black marble, with unit doors finished in dark oak inscribed with a circular pattern.

In addition to guest quarters, Starburst IV provides accommodation for 22 crew and four of the owner's household staff, ensuring that all operational aspects of the yacht run smoothly. The crew area includes a lounge, crew mess, office, and 12 cabins, all designed to offer the crew comfort and privacy.

Performance & Capabilities

Starburst IV is propelled by two robust Caterpillar 3516C-Chd engines, each delivering 2000 kW of power at 1600 rpm. This allows for a swift and efficient journey with a maximum speed of 16.5 knots. At cruising speed, the yacht moves gracefully through the water at 12 knots, providing a balance of speed and fuel efficiency for longer passages. Optimized for extended voyages, Andrea offers an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots.

In terms of stability, Starburst IV is equipped with a Naiad Dynamics Total Thrust Stabilization System. This advanced technology minimizes roll motion, enhancing onboard comfort both while underway and at anchor, and contributes to a smooth sailing experience for guests and crew alike.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, Starburst IV features a beach club where those on board can enjoy unwinding close to the water. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Starburst IV also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
