107m Project INCOGNITA launched by Freire Shipyard in Spain

Following its technical launch, Project INCÓGNITA will enter the next phase of construction.

The 107m (351ft) Freire Explorer yacht known as hull NB 729 was recently launched from the Paulino Freire Shipyard in Vigo, Spain. Also named Project INCÓGNITA, the launch marked the first time the build has emerged from the shed.

The contract for Project INCÓGNITA was originally signed in 2021 by her North American owners, with the first steel plates cut in May 2022. Shortly afterward in August 2022, the steel and aluminum construction of the explorer was revealed when its keel was laid at the Freire Shipyard.

The huge superstructure of Project INCÓGNITA has yet to be joined, with this phase of construction set to occur in the docks of San Gregorio in Venice, Northern Italy.

While many details of Project INCÓGNITA are unavailable, the megayacht is expected to be delivered to its owners in 2025. Upon completion, the explorer yacht will be the third largest ever built by the Friere Shipyard, after the launch of 111.85m RENAISSANCE in 2023, and 110.6m FALKOR TOO.
