The first Ferretti yacht of the year has hit the water with the launch of the 24m (780ft) Ferretti Yachts 780 model ‘Club B’, as the shipyard returns to its ‘extraordinary normality’.
The launch comes just three weeks after the Cattolica shipyard’s production line was disrupted following a fire onboard a yacht under construction. The Italian builder has confirmed it also expects to launch one of its flagship Ferretti Yachts 1000 models imminently.
“At Cattolica, speed and quality go hand in hand. It is fantastic to see the Shipyard get back to full operational capacity in such a short time. I will never be able to adequately praise or thank all the people in the area and at Ferretti Yachts who have worked tirelessly to get us back to doing what we are famous for around the world: building and delivering dream yachts to our customers. Our thanks once again to the Municipal Administration and all the local authorities in this fantastic area,” commented Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.
“The launch of this Ferretti Yachts 780 CLUB B marks the return to our extraordinary normality. A few days from now we will also be launching a Ferretti Yachts 1000, our spectacular flagship, making it clear that the Cattolica Shipyard is more active and stronger than ever, ready to mark 2022 with many more magnificent projects.”

Club B is being built for a Maltese Owner and is hull number 36 in the popular series that was restyled last year, taking many design cues from its bigger sibling the Ferretti Yachts 1000.
The guiding principle of the restyle is Ferretti’s award-winning ‘Just Like Home’ concept, which aims to create “a welcoming family atmosphere (which) is always accompanied by an authentically nautical spirit”. The new yacht is being produced in the Classic version with warm traditional colors and the use of walnut and oak to create an inviting atmosphere.
Ferretti Group’s own engineering department and Strategic Product Committee are responsible for styling and naval architecture of Club B whilst the interior meanwhile comes from the pen of the Ideaeitalia design studio.
Ferretti has developed a reputation for producing some of the highest quality motor yachts in the world, with clean, understated and confident Italian styling. According to YachtBuyer intelligence the yard delivered 13 yachts of 24m (78ft) or above last year with another 15 in the order book for 2022.
