79m explorer yacht concept LONTANO revealed

The award-nominated concept features the iconic Ulstein bow, generous beam and has a massive 8,000nm range at 12 knots.

A new award-nominated explorer yacht concept has been revealed that draws inspiration from a variety of sources.

LONTANO is a 78.7m (258ft) concept penned by Giulia Bassan & Alessandro Benedetti. The yacht was designed on the hull of a supply vessel from the Norwegian shipyard Ulstein, with her clean and geometric lines creating an imposing silhouette drawing inspiration from military vessels. Stepping inside, her elegant interiors are based on the look and feel of a high-class Manhattan Skytop apartment.

LONTANO also has a striking reverse bow and a generous 16m (52.5ft) beam, giving ample room inside to enjoy superyacht luxuries such as an aft beach club that accommodates a 9m (29.5ft) swimming pool, gym spa and massage room.

With the designers stating “the journey” and “living in voyage” as being the guiding principles behind the design, LONTANO features six large staterooms to accommodate 12 guests, a large cinema room and numerous spaces for relaxation and socializing.

As you may expect from an explorer yacht LONTANO comes equipped with numerous toys and tenders. These include an amphibious ATV, a submarine, space for two 9m (29.5ft) tenders, and two tender garages for jet-skis, scuba gear and plenty more. At the aft of the yacht is a certified helipad with glass-cut walls to give guests in the area below panoramic 360-degree views from the yacht.
