Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has delivered the first model of its RJ range, 40.5m (132.8ft) superyacht RJ, to her experienced Owner.
Motor yacht RJ is the latest addition to a small fleet of yachts for the Owner who wanted her built around a desire to spend as much time at sea as possible. To fulfill the Owner’s brief she features noise and vibration reduction measures on board and a special shaft line.
Her exterior deck areas are deliberately spacious to allow maximum enjoyment when hosting guests, whilst her rounded superstructure is almost invisible from the sun deck to maintain permanent contact with the sea.
The steel and aluminum explorer yacht features naval architecture by Hydro Tec and interior and exterior styling by regular CdM collaborator Francesco Paszkowski.
She can sleep ten guests across five staterooms which includes a full-beam master cabin. Other highlights are a show kitchen, separate games room and a ship’s office. RJ doesn’t feature a tender garage, but instead the space in the stern is used as a technical space and for storing toys like bicycles. A 5.2m (17ft) RIB is housed on the upper aft deck, with a crane integrated into the overhang of the sundeck.
Motor yacht RJ is equipped with twin MTU 10V 2000 M72 diesel engines and has a top speed of 14.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12.8 knots. She has a 5,500nm range at 9 knots.
She is the first in CdM’s new RJ line to be delivered, with two other yachts from the line already sold and under construction at its Ancona facility.
CdM has a self-proclaimed focus on explorer yachting and explorer yacht RJ is the latest in a line of explorer models it has delivered. Most recently it delivered 42m (138ft) motor yacht CROWBRIDGE and launched RJ’s sistership explorer yacht AURELIA, the first yacht from its Flexplorer range.
