The annual yachting calendar continues this April as the doors open for the 9th edition of the Singapore Yacht Show. Running from the 11th until the 14th the show continues to use the same prestigious location of the award winning ONE° 15 Marina at Sentosa Cove.
As winner of the Best Asian Marina of the Award on multiple occasions, the outstanding 5* Gold Anchor standard ONE° 15 Marina provides an exceptional background to the rapidly growing show with over 50,000 square metres to play with.
Catering to nautical lifestyle lovers from all backgrounds, the four day event in Singapore is an unrivalled opportunity to see and inspect the newest and most innovative products on the current market. Visitors can enjoy a whole host of activities throughout the duration but here are some key highlights to truly make the most of the anticipated Asian event.
Regional Debuts
A large number of Asian debuts are scheduled to impress the crowds during the 9th edition including three Princess models. The Y85, F45 and R35 will all be lined up amongst the exciting line up of 10 units from Boat Lagoon Yachting, where the impressive Rebel 47 will also be making its debut.
One of the popular long term supporters of the show, Simpson Marine, are ready to make their mark in the ONE° 15 Marina with an impressive fleet of 14. Two of the vessels will also be making their regional debut at the show, which are the SD126 and SL86 from Sanlorenzo.
Italian shipyard Ferretti will also be in attendance at the Singapore Yacht Show debuting their immaculate FY920 to the Asian market.
Floating Water Hub
A special area completely dedicated to thrill seekers, the floating hub in the marina is the perfect place to witness some spectacular watertoy demonstrations. See how the experts do it for guidance on your own technique or view some new concepts to consider for your own sessions out on the water.
Some of the demonstrations scheduled for the 2019 edition of the Singapore Yacht Show include Flyboards and electric hydrofoils called Waydoos. For something even more unique, visitors can also get up close to the world's first fully electric manned vertical take off aircraft, or VTOL for short.
Boardwalk Village and North Pavilion
World class yachting and premium brands go hand in hand at the Singapore Yacht Show with the bustling Boardwalk Village.
Carefully selected prestige brands will showcase some of their finest products to visitors of the event which are all tailored to meet the needs and desires of a nautical lifestyle. Some of the products expected to be seen at the show include top of the range AV speakers and headphones, classic timepieces, one of a kind pieces of art and exquisite jewellery.
The Boardwalk Village is also the perfect place to take a rest and enjoy some indulgent delicacies and exotic cocktails.
Supercars and Superbeasts
Lining up with the impressive collection of yachts in attendance, a vibrant collection of stylish supercars are set to excite auto enthusiasts. Boasting prestige models from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce, the East and West Pavilions have plenty of excitement in between yacht viewings.
Also adding extra colour to the Singapore Yacht Show, for the first time in its history the event will be hosting an elephant parade. With stunning limited editions also available, visitors can buy and decorate elaborate elephant statues to their own taste. Each statue purchased features a 20% donation to the conservation of the magnificent beasts.
Asia Boating Awards
A key fixture in the social calendar, the Asia Boating Awards is set to present esteemed awards for it's 15th edition. Taking place at the Capitol Theatre on Wednesday the 10th of April, an art deco themed gala will decorate the event including an indulgent four course meal and champagne reception.
Live jazz will get the party started and continue to the late evening/early hours and provide guests with the ideal opportunity to mingle with other VIPs, celebrities and industry elites.
