The 2024 World Yacht Trophies were held at the Cannes Yachting Festival where 30 awards were presented to new yachts launched over the year.
Yacht builder Lurssen, renowned for building many of the world's biggest yachts, had two finalists for the Yacht of the Year Trophy in the over 270' (82m+) category.
The 82m Lurssen yacht HAVEN was competing against the winning 122m superyacht KISMET and the 122m Freire Yachts' RENAISSANCE.
Celebrating the win at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival hosted event, were superyacht builder Lurssen, designers Nuvolari Lenard and Reymond Langton, and naval architect Moran Yachts & Ship.
The extraordinary new build was designed as a custom superyacht around a displacement steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, featuring a 17.8m beam and a 4.8m draft. The yacht is built over five decks with an internal volume of 4,900 GT (Gross Tonnes). Construction started in late 2020 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Jag'.
