The iconic Port Hercule is again the focus of the yachting world as the Monaco Yacht Show returns for a glittering 30th edition.
The show is viewed as the ultimate showcase for some of the world’s most incredible yachts, and that is certainly no different this year with around 150 superyachts on display across the four days of the show which runs from 22 to 25 September.
The dazzling fleet is led by the public premiere of Benetti’s 108m (354ft) superyacht IJE, with over 1,000 square meters (10,763 sq. ft) of exteriors across her five decks. Other notable yachts making their debuts at the show include the 94m (308ft) Feadship superyacht VIVA, Nobiskrug’s 92.4m (303ft) TATOOSH and C2, a 85.65m (281ft) superyacht built by Abeking & Rasmussen.
The show is making up for lost time after being forced to cancel last year due to the COVID pandemic, with more than 80 yachts making their debuts at the show and a strong presence from the world’s biggest shipyards.
There are also a number of new additions to the show this year including an area dedicated entirely to companies directly linked with the construction or management of superyachts and tenders as well as two new exhibitions.
The first exhibition is being held on Quai l'Hirondelle and is dedicated to sailing boats, the second is a Yacht Design and Innovation Hub where yacht design projects and their respective designers will be based for visitors to speak to.
All the usual Stella stands and displays that the show has become famous for over the years are included, with exhibitions dedicated to luxury tender and water toys, luxury cars, nautical equipment and cutting-edge technology.
As with the Cannes Yachting Festival held earlier this month, health and safety of visitors will be prioritized with a number of measures in place. All guests are required to provide a valid health pass or negative PCR/antigen test within 72 hours of their visit and it is compulsory for a surgical mask to be worn at all times.
