Ferretti has unveiled the latest addition to its fleet, the Ferretti Yachts 860, which the Italian brand promises “represents a step-change in the evolution of the flybridge concept”.
The 26.95m (88ft) yacht is the third collaboration between Ferretti and Filippo Salveti, who is responsible for the exteriors, and Ideaitalia who have penned the interiors.
Salveti’s exteriors are sleek and powerful, with floor-to-ceiling windows and glass fashion plates and windows in the hull and superstructure reminiscent of the brand’s latest models such as its flagship Ferretti Yachts 1000.
The interior design has been described as “radical and striking” by Ferretti. A helical staircase on the main deck leads down to the lower deck and acts as a focal point for the entire layout that sports clean, Art Deco-inspired, geometrical curves. Opening windows in both hull sides connect the inside and outside spaces, and classic cabinetry alternates with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic for a mix of styling.
Other highlights include a spacious cockpit with glass parapet, a beach area accessible from either side of the yacht, a multifunctional galley and four cabins on the lower deck comprised of a midships master cabin, a VIP cabin forward and two doubles.
There are also multiple customization opportunities. The flybridge space can be configured with freestanding furniture and an optional Jacuzzi on the aft deck, a hard top is available in fixed glass, opening glass or with shading blades and the foredeck features an area that can be converted from a dining area into a spacious sun pad.
The Ferretti Yachts 860 is available in Classic and Contemporary moods. The Classic mood features darker warmer colors and striking contrasts, whilst the Contemporary mood has paler, cooler colors, characterized by tone-on-tone shades through to total white.
Performance-wise the motor yacht will be equipped with twin MAN V12 engines giving her a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 32 knots based on preliminary data.
Ferretti will be hoping the model can emulate the success of its Ferretti Yachts 1000. The yard’s flagship model comes from the same design team and was launched in March, with three hulls already delivered and another seven in the order book. Ferretti also revealed just last month that its total order intake for the first three-quarters of the year stood in excess of $1billion after a record-breaking month of sales in September.
