Pearl Yachts announces $50m order book as it plans for 2022

The British yard will also be opening a new sales office and launching its new Pearl 72 model this year.

Pearl Yachts has announced it is looking to take “maximum advantage of the momentum” in 2022 as its order book stands at $50million.

The British yard has seen a busy 12 months with the introduction of the new Pearl 72, which has already sold six hulls ahead of its launch scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, and the continuing popularity of its Pearl 62, of which 20 have now been sold.

Pearl’s Managing Director, Iain Smallridge, expressed his desire that the builder doesn't rest on its laurels: “Last year wasn’t without its challenges, one might think Pearl is just riding the wave of renewed interest in yachting, but it’s really been a balancing act. We wanted to take maximum advantage of the momentum, without letting that wave wash away. That’s why we’ve channelled the success of this year to improve all aspects of our business.”

“Expanding the network and bringing in new talent is paramount, especially as we prepare to launch several new models over the next three years. As with the Pearl 62 and the 72, each design is going to bring something new to that sector of the market. We can barely wait to share them with our clients, stakeholders and friends.”

Pearl

Currently, Pearl is making new appointments to several “key team positions” ahead of the opening of a new sales office in Swanwick, Southampton, with an eye to further developing the sales and support network around the world in the future.

Central to the yard’s success has been a successful partnership between naval architect Bill Dixon and the interior designer Kelly Hoppen, both of whom Pearl has collaborated with on its 22m (72ft) Pearl 72 which was officially announced at last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The new model features a unique two master cabins, four en-suite guest cabins, a garage for a large tender and jet ski, a large flybridge and a beach club.

It will join the Pearl 62, Pearl 80 and Pearl 95 in the British yard’s fleet when it is launched later this year. To explore its dynamically, styled modern flybridge yachts in more detail view all Pearl yachts for sale.
