British manufacturer of performance motor yachts Sunseeker International has been sold to Orienta Capital Partners and Lionheart Capital for an undisclosed fee, following a successful acquisition from Chinese real estate group, Wanda.
The acquisition marks the end of 11 years of ownership by the Dalian Wanda Group, with the new owners promising that Sunseeker’s headquarters and core yacht production will remain in Poole, UK, on the Dorset coast in southern England.
First revealed at a press conference during the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the British shipyard acknowledged lagging behind its Italian competitors, and they expressed confidence that the new investment and ownership would help bridge this gap and drive future growth.
