Azimut Win the European Powerboat Award 2024

The Azimut Magellano 60 clinched victory at the European Powerboat Awards 2024 during the famous Flagship Night at boot Dusseldorf.

Azimut Magellano 60: Winning the 2024 European Powerboat Award in the "up to 20 meters" category.

Introduced at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, the accolade the yacht received during boot Düsseldorf 2024, one of the world's premier boat shows, is an indication of its industry-leading position. At the Flagship Night, co-hosted by Boot Düsseldorf and Delius Klasing on January 20th, the Magellano 60 stood out among the best boats tested by an international panel of experts, who were particularly impressed by its striking visual appeal, newly developed hull, and outstanding craftsmanship.

The Azimut Magellano 60 was pitched against other contenders in the up to 20 meters category; alongside Aprea's Lancia 52, the Prestige F4 flybridge yacht, Sargo's Explorer 45 wheelhouse yacht, and Sunseeker's Superhawk 55 sports boat.

In the larger boat category, factors such as "life on the water" and the potential for extended journeys with multiple people are being carefully considered. The layout of space, distribution of rooms across various decks, and the overall performance of the boat play significant roles in determining the winner in this category.

The Magellano 60 is known for its cutting-edge Dual Mode semi-planing hull, which provides optimal handling at varying speeds. This unique feature allows the yacht to combine comfort at low speeds with the capacity to reach higher speeds efficiently. Designed by Ken Freivokh, the yacht's elegant external lines offer spacious interiors and include a unique Infinity Terrace at the stern, ensuring a seamless connection with the sea.

One of the most remarkable features of the Azimut Magellano 60 is its environmental responsibility. As the first Azimut boat to run on HVO, a biofuel produced by Eni Live using 100% renewable raw materials, it sets a new standard in sustainable yachting. The integration of this biofuel, in combination with the innovative Dual Mode hull, significantly reduces well-to-wake CO2 emissions by over 80%, demonstrating Azimut's commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of its luxury vessels.

Azimut Yachts, a brand within the Azimut Benetti Group, is renowned for its wide range of luxury yachts, spanning 10 to 40 meters. The Magellano 60 is a part of the Magellano collection, which is known for its long-range cruising capabilities and stylish designs. Alongside the Magellano series, Azimut offers the Atlantis, Flybridge, S, Verve, and Grande collections, each tailored to different yachting experiences and preferences.

The Magellano 60's recognition at the European Powerboat Awards is more than just a win for Azimut Yachts; it is a sign of the industry's evolving priorities, where luxury, performance, and sustainability are no longer mutually exclusive but are expected to go hand in hand. As the Magellano 60 continues to redefine the luxury yachting experience, it stands as a symbol of the future of yachting—a future that is as responsible as it is indulgent.
