On Deck

He starts his tour at the back of the yacht, where the hi-lo bathing platform which can lift 400 kilograms is located. It is noted that this is perfect for supporting a decent jet rib.

Nick appreciates the yacht's practicality and attention to detail, pointing out the glass transom that allows for outward-facing views, and the stairs that convert into steps for easy access to the water when the platform is lowered. Also mentioned is the boat's joystick control and the doors that can form a windbreak.

Up on the flybridge, the internal access, the sunpad, the helm with triple screens, and the seating area are all appreciated. He also points out the wet bar, the Kenyon barbecue, and the bimini extension on the back.

Interior

Inside the yacht, there is the galley area, which is centrally located to cater directly across to the dining area. There is ample storage space, adishwasher, and a fridge freezer. Also pointed out are the boat's control system and the dock sense Raymarine system, which aids in docking the boat.

Moving to the lower deck, Nick tours the cabins, noting that in the owner's cabin, the bed can be lifted to reveal a large storage area underneath. Also appreciated is the offset bed in the guest cabin, which creates a more spacious area.

Crew Accommodation

Heading to the crew area, there are separate toilet and shower areas as well as the washing machine. He also points out the crew cabin, which can sleep two.

Performance

In terms of performance, the yacht is designed for displacement cruising, with an optimum speed of 8-10 knots. However, its MAN 730 horsepower engines allow it to reach up to 20 knots if needed, offering plenty of reserve power. At an economic speed of 9 knots, the engines use up just 30-liters per hour, providing over 1,000 nautical miles of range.

In Summary

Despite the yacht's popularity and the number of people on board during the video, Nick is able to provide a comprehensive tour, demonstrating his in-depth knowledge and appreciation for the Beneteau Grand Trawler 62. He is particularly impressed by its practicality, attention to detail, and the thought put into its construction.
