On Deck

The Horizon FD75 Skyline features a hi-lo platform, which is designed to accommodate a tender. Conveniently, the crew and engine area access are on this platform.

The cockpit has a seating area with an adjustable table and benefits from a large overhang that provides ample shade.

The flybridge is semi-enclosed, offering the option for full enclosure or a completely open deck. The flybridge featured a well-equipped helm station and a sizable bar area, with the possibility of air conditioning if enclosed. A second tender or jet ski can be accommodated on the flybridge, equipped with a crane for easy handling. There is a freezer for storing catches from fishing trips and a day head on the flybridge, a rarity for yachts under 80 feet.

Interior

The Horizon FD75 exhibits an asymmetric deck design, which allows the salon to extend to the side of the yacht, creating a voluminous interior space that belies the yacht's overall length.

The salon has an open-plan layout, which allows for seamless entertaining and socializing without anyone feeling isolated in the galley. Many owners of this yacht size opt to operate the vessel without a crew, which makes the open design particularly appealing.

The yacht's design features multiple cabin configurations, with this particular model showcasing a forward separate cabin with ample storage, a dressing table, and an en-suite bathroom. The lower deck, which features split-level design, allows for additional guest cabins with significant hull windows, convertible beds, and a large storage area that can be accessed directly from the foredeck, ideal for stowing luggage or watersports equipment.

The yacht's potential for two owner's cabins is a highlight as this would be ideal for two couples co-owning the yacht, with neither feeling compromised. Ample storage and en-suite facilities are displayed before proceeding to the laundry area, equipped with washer and dryer.

Crew Accommodation

Descending to the crew quarters, which has alternate access points, there is a two-berth crew cabin and a separate day head. The area could serve as additional guest accommodation for owner-operated yachts.

Performance

The well-lit engine room houses a pair of Caterpillar C18 1,136hp engines, providing a top speed of 22 knots.  At a cruising speed of 10 knots, a range of 1,200 nautical miles can be achieved. This space also has generators and a watermaker installed.

In Summary

Nick concluded the tour by expressing his fascination with the Horizon FD75's design and the incredible use of space, thoughtful design, and versatility for different owner preferences, whether operated with a crew or by the owner alone.
