The The ShowBoats Design Awards 2012, held in February at the prestigious Superyacht Design Symposium, brought together industry leaders, yacht builders, and enthusiasts to celebrate outstanding achievements in the world of yachting. In the Exterior Design & Styling Award: Displacement Motor Yachts 200′+ category, the spotlight was on exceptional craftsmanship and performance across a range of impressive models. The crown was awarded to Tango for their remarkable entry, with several other notable finalists, including entries from Feadship, Amels, Turquoise Yachts, Rossinavi, and Freire Shipyard. The event was open to everyone, providing an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere to honour the year’s most acclaimed yachts.
Winner
The yacht Tango was the winner of the Exterior Design & Styling Award: Displacement Motor Yachts 200′+ in 2012 at the The ShowBoats Design Awards.
Described as ‘cleanly sleek and architectural in appearance,’ the judges choose this yacht as one that stood out as a new, distinctive and attractive style. Tango’s 22-knot top speed is reflected in her exterior styling. Deck areas have been specifically designed for individual purposes, and provide an ‘excellent flow for guests and crew alike’. The way the yacht’s safety, mooring and anchoring equipment are camouflaged without adversely affecting their functionality was also admired by the judges.
