Lady Brave is a 171'7" motor yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Amels in 2008. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Tim Heywood Design, while Laura Sessa Romboli has designed her interiors.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 29'6" beam and a 11' draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 642 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fourth yacht built on the Amels 171 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Yacht Lady Brave is an Amels 171 yacht with a striking white hull and superstructure, characterized by elegant curvature. Smooth lines gracefully flow from the aft quarter deck to the rounded, raked bow, accentuated by side balconies on the upper deck forward of amidships, adding both functionality and visual appeal.
On the sun deck, a raised, side-curved feature with grill accents is a striking focal point before the distinctive radar and communication arch, complemented by raised wings on each side. The sundeck features an al fresco dining area under the radar arch for shade, while ample relaxed seating aft provides panoramic views from its elevated position. Additionally, the sun deck features abundant sun pads surrounding an elevated circular jacuzzi tub.
Large glazing sections within the bulwarks and three sizable side panels on the main deck allow ample natural light to flood the interior, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Open aft deck areas benefit from unobstructed overhead light, with large doors connecting exterior and interior spaces. Notably, the inward-leaning aft guardrails on all deck levels follow the lines of the superstructure, enhancing the yacht's clean and sleek aesthetic.
At the stern, twin sheltered stairways lead from the main deck aft to the bathing platform, gently flaring out as they meet the deck. The yacht's side profile reveals dynamic lines that ascend and flow towards the commanding bow, concealing functional deck spaces housing equipment such as a prominent light mast that can be lowered when not in use, and anchoring gear.
Strategically positioned staircases on the port side of each level ensure convenient access throughout the yacht. A wide walkway encircling the upper deck guides guests to a secluded relaxation area forward, offering a tranquil retreat before descending to a spacious sun pad area.
Interior Design
Amels yacht Lady Brave, previously named Lady Nag Nag, showcases a contemporary interior crafted by Laura Sessa Romboli, a seasoned designer in collaboration with Amels. Romboli's design palette for Lady Brave revolves around a monochrome theme, incorporating white leather and chrome complemented by black accents for contrast. The use of mid-tone wood for walls and floors enhances the visual impact when paired with black elements.
Privacy in the main salon is ensured by stylish shutters adorning the large windows, while a spacious linear design rug anchors the area beneath the expansive white sofas and an eight-seated dining table.
Continuing the monochrome aesthetic, the cabins feature bursts of color through striking artwork pieces.
Accommodation
Lady Brave offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites comprising an owner's cabin located on the main deck, two double cabins, and three twin cabins. The yacht can carry up to 13 crew onboard to ensure full guest service.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M70) 16-cylinder 1,407hp engines, motor yacht Lady Brave is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 30,380 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
