Madame Kate is a multi-award winning 60.6m motor yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Amels in 2015. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Tim Heywood Design, while her interiors are the work of Laura Sessa Romboli.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.32m beam and a 3.55m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,120 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
This was the second yacht built on the Amels 199 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2015.
Exterior Design
Madame Kate's profile is defined by a sweeping hull line that stretches from midships to the aft platform, highlighted by a pearlescent white finish. This unique paintwork not only enhances the yacht's visual appeal but also interacts dynamically with light, both natural and artificial, complemented by a distinctive black boot line. The exterior lighting system, capable of changing colors via an iPad interface, adds another layer of visual intrigue, particularly at night when it interacts with the pearlescent paint to dramatic effect. The main deck houses the galley, finished in stainless steel, indicating a preference for functionality and durability. This choice of materials extends to the interior spaces where planked wooden floors, predominantly in bleached maple and black-stained oak, set the tone for the yacht's casual elegance. This ebony-and-ivory theme is notably present in the main deck foyer and dining room, where the flooring pattern resembles piano keys, contributing to the overall lively decor.
In terms of amenities, the yacht is equipped with a gym located at the stern, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness on board. The gym is directly accessible from three guest cabins on the lower deck, ensuring convenience for those focused on fitness.
The offset dining room, devoid of sideboards and cabinets, features an expandable table that can accommodate up to 14 guests, with the unique capability of the room itself to expand by folding down the bulwarks. This creates terraces on either side, enhancing the dining experience with extensive sea views through full-length sliding glass walls.
The main saloon is treated with a more formal approach, featuring a Tai Ping carpet and an avant-garde bar, with seating arranged symmetrically around a screened image of Madame Kate, a whimsical nod to the yacht's namesake. The television, concealed behind this artwork, adds a touch of modernity to the space.

Accommodation

The master bedroom features white-washed and black-stained oak finishes complemented by vibrant turquoise accents in fabrics and upholstery, adding a bright pop of color. A notable feature of the suite is the walk-in wardrobe, spacious enough to serve as a dressing room. This area is equipped with a central stack of drawers topped with glass, designed to showcase select pieces of jewelry, adding a personal touch to the space. The dressing room thoughtfully separates the dual en suites, with one notably clad in dazzling white alabaster, echoing the yacht's exterior finish.
The accommodation on Madame Kate extends beyond the master suite to include two VIP cabins situated aft of the bridge and crew area. These cabins are each characterized by their own distinctive color themes—one adorned with splashes of orange and the other in a vibrant yellow and blue, reflecting the yacht's overall exuberant interior style. Both VIP cabins offer a blend of comfort and privacy, buffered from the bridge deck saloon by a brightly lit upper lobby and a conveniently located dayhead.
Madame Kate houses three additional spacious guest cabins on the lower deck, which are directly accessible to the gym and sauna aft, enhancing the comfort and convenience for guests. These cabins share the yacht's consistent use of oak flooring in various shades, contributing to the cohesive design aesthetic throughout. The guest experience is further enriched by the inclusion of circular windows in the stern, allowing natural light to permeate the space and maintaining a connection with the outdoors, even while underway.
The crew accommodation for up to 17 on Madame Kate is designed with equal attention to detail and functionality, ensuring that the service team has the space and amenities needed to perform their duties efficiently and comfortably. The galley and service areas are strategically located to facilitate smooth operations.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512C) 2,012hp engines, motor yacht Madame Kate is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 139,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, Madame Kate features a beach club where those on board can enjoy unwinding close to the water. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Madame Kate also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
