Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.3m beam and a 3.4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 376 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2008. This was the third yacht built on the Baglietto 44m design. Launched in May 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2013.

Exterior Design

Monokini features a raked bow, which enhances its hydrodynamic performance and adds to its sleek profile. The deck is crafted from teak, providing durability and a classic nautical aesthetic. Both the hull and the superstructure are painted in a sophisticated silver color, giving the vessel a uniform and modern appearance. The boot top is highlighted in red, adding a distinctive contrast and making the yacht easily recognizable. Below the waterline, the yacht is finished in black, complementing the overall streamlined design while ensuring practicality for marine conditions.

The large, open flybridge is designed with practicality in mind, offering substantial space for sunbathing and social gatherings. It features two dining tables that can be joined to accommodate larger groups. The main saloon's balconies are accessible via sliding doors, enhancing the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Interior Design

The interior design of Monokini is characterized by a minimalist rigor combined with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The design integrates close contact with the sea, incorporating structural solutions and furniture arrangements to maximize views. For example, the main saloon features large floor-to-ceiling openings and a versatile divan that can be reoriented to face the sea.

Materials play a crucial role in the yacht's interior. The combination of wood, leather, and steel creates a minimalist yet warm style. The lighting design is detailed and functional, utilizing LED strip lights recessed into the furniture and paneling. This approach not only highlights the forms and materials but also conceals elements like handles.

The galley is functional and well-integrated into the yacht's overall design. The wheelhouse features a sophisticated console and electronic systems, ensuring ease of navigation and control.

Lounges and saloons are designed for social interaction and versatility. The main saloon offers a seating arrangement conducive to conversation, with a large-screen TV positioned forward. A storage and technical area separates the formal dining area, which accommodates ten guests, from the main saloon.

Accommodation

Monokini offers accommodation for up to 10 guests, providing a combination of comfort and privacy. The yacht features a total of five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins.

The owner’s suite, located on the main deck, spans the full beam of the yacht. This spacious suite is designed to offer ample room and privacy, ensuring a restful retreat for the owner.

The two double cabins and the two twin cabins are situated further forward on the yacht. These cabins are designed to provide comfort for the additional guests, ensuring that all occupants have a pleasant stay.

She is also capable of carrying up to eight crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
