Delivered in 2024, Moonshine is a 36.3m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Moonen. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Hollander Yacht Design, while her exteriors have been penned by René van der Velden Yacht Design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.15m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 345 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2022. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2024.
Exterior Design
When Moonen introduced the 122 Martinique range, it garnered immediate acclaim for its fast displacement long-range capability. Moonshine, the sixth vessel in the series that began with Brigadoon in 2018, boasts a robust steel and aluminum build. Its design emphasizes wide-body and high-volume spaces, substantial railings, and wide companionways.
The high rounded bow leads to a functional teak foredeck with prominent guardrails, while a central stepway guides guests to a forward-facing area in front of the bridge. Open fairleads at the bow create visual interest, accented by black sections against the pristine white hull. Portholes on the lower deck ensure natural light permeates the interior spaces. The stern features a short bathing platform accessible from the main deck aft by twin staircases, with integrated shell doors for watercraft access.
A smart black bootstrap defines the water's edge, while atop the yacht, banquette seating forms the sun deck aft beam facing a raised circular jacuzzi tub with teak steps. The canopy of the radar mast, supported by sleek black columns, offers shade for guest comfort. Stairway access to the lower deck is provided on the port quarter.
Adding interest to the profile, a smart grill feature is positioned just aft of the nameplate on the upper deck level.
Accommodation
Moonshine offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 2 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) 1,925hp engines, motor yacht Moonshine is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 35,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
