Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.79m beam and a 3.3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,052 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2012 with the keel laid under the project name 'Feadship #687'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in August 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2014.
Exterior Design
Rock. It's raked bow design enhances its efficiency by reducing wave resistance. The white hull and superstructure give Rock.It a clean and classic appearance, while the black boot top and below-the-waterline paint provide a striking contrast.
Rock. It’s sundeck is equipped for social gatherings, with extra speakers available for enhanced sound during events. Two stone-clad bars are centrally located under the hardtop, providing convenient access to refreshments. An awning can be deployed aft for shade, while a forward canopy extends close to the spa pool and sunpads. The sundeck is further illuminated by nine skylights made of photo-reactive glass, which darken automatically in bright sunlight.
The main deck presents a practical entry point with one of the yacht’s three bars situated here. The covered aft section of the main deck includes a large teak table for outdoor dining. Stepping inside, there is a curved onyx bar with backlighting that casts a warm glow on Portoro marble. A mahogany ring frames a dome overhead, which is a recurring design element across the main and bridge decks.
The bridge deck lounge offers a different ambiance, utilizing cross-grain sycamore and mahogany beams. The full-beam lounge includes a bar to port and allows crew access from the pantry. Sliding glass on each side of the aft deck makes it adaptable for all-weather dining.
Interior Design
Rock.It features a meticulously crafted interior design that emphasizes quality materials and functional elegance. Throughout the yacht, marble is a dominant material, notably in the owner's suite bathroom, which includes 190 pieces of the stone, and in the "his" bathroom sink, carved from a 500kg block.
The main deck hosts a full-beam owner's suite, designed with relaxation in mind. This area benefits from soft lighting produced by backlit onyx. The amidships lobby features a marble floor, leading to the circular staircase that connects the various decks.
The bridge deck lounge presents a different stylistic approach. The space uses cross-grain sycamore and mahogany beams, with an overhead made of woven teak strips. This full-beam lounge includes a bar to port, serving as the crew's access point from the pantry. It operates as a versatile, sunlit area with sliding glass on each side, making it suitable for all-weather dining.
Rock.It does not include a formal dining room but provides a notable indoor dining area within the expansive main deck saloon. This area features a custom Pollaro dining table made of macassar ebony and lighter veneers in a sunburst pattern, requiring over 350 man-hours to complete. It is edged with a faceted stainless steel band, inspired by the owner's preference for polished stainless steel.
Accommodation
Rock.It offers luxurious accommodation for a total of ten guests. The yacht features a full-beam owner's suite located forward of the circular staircase on the main deck. This suite is designed for relaxation, with soft lighting provided by backlit onyx. The owner's suite includes separate his and hers bathrooms, each adorned with extensive marble work, enhancing the sense of luxury and comfort.
For additional guests, Rock.It provides two twin cabins and two VIP cabins, accommodating a variety of sleeping arrangements. The cabins are designed with privacy in mind, with doors that do not face each other. The interiors feature a blend of light fabrics and mahogany joinery, with freestanding beds illuminated by ambient lighting from underneath. The lower deck cabins boast the largest windows permissible by the classification society, allowing for ample natural light and stunning sea views.
The crew quarters on Rock.It are designed to meet the MLC 2006 regulations, ensuring a larger minimum cabin area and additional amenities. These quarters are well-finished, providing a comfortable living space for 13 crew. The engineer has a dedicated cabin located aft of the control room, offering privacy and convenience.
