Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.1m beam and a 2.75m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2022. Launched in August 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2024.
Exterior Design
Serenissima I's profile is marked by a powerful, high raked bow and a distinctive aft, featuring a transformer platform ideal for water sports activities. Despite its robust and masculine lines, the yacht also incorporates graceful elements, achieving an elegant and sleek silhouette.
Constructed with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, Serenissima I is painted in a uniform grey, complemented by a turquoise strip with black lines at the top and bottom, adding a touch of visual distinction without overstatement. The decks are laid with teak, enriching the yacht's outdoor spaces with both beauty and practicality.
The boxing ring on Serenissima I’s foredeck stands as an impressive feature. It is not a permanent structure but rather gear that the crew sets up for friendly fitness matches. Attachment points secure the netting and the foredeck is flush for sure footing. This unique addition mirrors the temporary sports netting found on other yachts, but with a distinctive twist.
The yacht's design successfully integrates large exterior decks and side deck walkways, characteristics typically found on larger vessels. This design choice expands the available outdoor space, enhancing the onboard experience without compromising the yacht's more compact dimensions. The sundeck is a highlight, offering expansive areas for sunbathing, a sheltered living area with a mini pool, and a dedicated service staircase for the crew, emphasizing privacy and convenience for guests.
The beach club and the spacious cockpit are designed as focal points for outdoor activities, equipped with a folding bulwark and a retractable crane capable of lifting significant weight. This area is versatile, suitable for hosting large gatherings or intimate family moments, further accentuated by a sofa and bar area.
In terms of technical design, the hull is crafted for efficiency and comfort, a collaborative effort with Van Oossanen naval architecture. This ensures smooth and stable voyages, complemented by practical engineering and system layouts for long-term cruising. The engine room, accessible through a control room housing all electrical panels, is thoughtfully arranged for ease of maintenance and operation.
Interior Design
Within the interior spaces, wood and bronze are prominently featured, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The abundant use of glass in the superstructure allows for natural light to flood the interior, enhancing the chosen materials and highlighting the attention to detail in the craftsmanship.
The main saloon features comfortable seating, a state-of-the-art entertainment system, and large windows that offer panoramic views of the surroundings. A dedicated lounge on the main deck serves multiple purposes, from a quiet study to a private cinema, with an open balcony that overlooks the sea, providing a unique connection to the sea.
Serenissima I is also equipped with an elevator, a rare amenity for vessels in this size category, which ensures easy access between decks for guests of all ages, enhancing the overall onboard experience.
Accommodation
Accommodation on the Serenissima I is thoughtfully arranged to host up to ten guests across its five cabins, ensuring comfort and privacy for all. The yacht features an impressive owner's suite located on the bridge deck, which stands out due to its strategic aft-facing position. This suite offers an unparalleled view from its upper-deck vantage point and also includes an expansive ensuite bathroom, large windows for ample natural light, and direct access to a private terrace. This outdoor space is designed to enable an all-season living experience, thanks to retractable glass panels that provide shelter from the elements while still allowing guests to enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views.
For additional guests, Serenissima I houses four double ensuite cabins on the lower deck. These cabins are designed with guests' comfort in mind, two of which feature a movable partition that can transform the space into a large VIP suite. This flexibility allows for customized accommodation depending on the needs of those on board.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,450hp engines, motor yacht Serenissima I is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 64,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
