British-based design studio Gresham Yacht Design has revealed details of a new 120m superyacht concept called EMIR.
Mixing a sleek exterior with spacious interiors and accommodation for 36 guests, one of the center points of the concept is a double-height main saloon amidships. Split into two mezzanine levels, it has an elegant ballroom style appearance with a high ceiling and an internal walk-around balcony on the upper level.
The upper mezzanine level has pockets of intimate seating with views across the main saloon. These views extend much further with full-height, angled windows over two floors for panoramic ocean views without reflections.
The classic feel is enhanced further will elegant staircases that wind their way around glass elevators to connect the two levels of the main saloon.
Another standout feature of its design are the fold-up bulwarks either side of the helipad above the Owner’s private deck - one of two helipads on board. This feature has the multiple benefits of ensuring a smooth and seamless transition from the helicopter into EMIR's interior, ensuring the styling of the profile of the yacht is not compromised and offering the Owner the ability to directly access their private deck.
The Owner’s private deck also features a large saloon with balconies on either side, a dining area, bar and games table along with a full-beam master suite with private exterior deck, Jacuzzi and uninterrupted views.
The aft main deck plays hosts to a cantilevered swimming pool complete with a glass window, with casual dining and exterior seating also located here along with an enclosed aft lounge. On the lower deck a beach club and wellness centre with gym and cinema can be found.
When the party is ready to move outside the aft main deck is ready to entertain with the key exterior element being a cantilevered swimming pool that includes a glass window facing out to sea
The concept also has many features geared at reducing emissions and helping the environment, including a mini-power station on board to recycle and reuse waste and a waste water treatment center.
The design of EMIR follows in the footsteps of Gresham Yacht Designs previous concept, the 100m (328ft) expedition yacht 'Thor Explore'.
Whilst this is just a concept there are hundreds of superyachts on the water currently. If you are interested in making a purchase view all superyachts for sale.
