Arcadia mark decade of success with award winning new Sherpa XL

Arcadia Yachts celebrate a decade in the industry as they bring the new Sherpa XL to Boot Dusseldorf.

Following a four year gap from the German based event, Arcadia Yachts brought their latest innovative model to the prestigious event, monumenting the full 10 years since they brought their first A85.

Over the last decade Arcadia have implemented thorough research in to economical developments which have all helped to establish the Italian shipyard as a trendsetter.

Examples of their green breakthroughs include thermally insulated windows, fuel efficient semi planing hull and the integration of solar panels for reduced generator use.

In 2010 ARCADIA entered the German market with a product that was never seen before, definitely innovative and decidedly different. So, that morning in 2010, the Show opened its doors at 10am and, at 10:10, the first model was instantly appreciated and purchased by a great savant of the sea world, who decided to live on water, immersed in the world of Arcadia.

Premiering the Sherpa XL

The new SHERPA XL is an important step forwards in ARCADIA’s development. Considerable attention (in terms of design and testing) was focused on the new side garage system, which is one of a kind in the 85-90ft segment. It provides clean profiles and allows guests to use the entire yacht at all times.

The successor model to the Sherpa, the second model of the Sherpa range offers substantial more space than other vessels of the same size with an additional 0.6 metre of beam width.

Offering 7m instead of 6.4m, the Sherpa XL significantly increases the living space onboard which totals 220 square metres.

In addition to the increased beam, the innovative side garage also aids in the enhanced space, allowing owners and their guests to make the most of the indulgent onboard experience.

Reported to be able to reach a top speed 23 knots, the XL comes in a three or four cabin layout with the galley moving from the skylounge to the lower deck depending on selected options.

Equipped with an IPS-1.350 propulsion system, key features of the Sherpa XL include a 35 square metre sunlounge on the upper deck which features full length up and down windows, which can retract at the touch of a button.

The master cabin sports impressive panoramic views over the bow, with a seamless throughout 22 square metre cabin. The private bathroom is merged with the main cabin space itself, with the VIP cabin following a similar layout.
