Falcon Tenders reveals more details about first ever tender

The new British-based tender manufacturer's first project is 10.5m (34.5ft) limousine tender designed by Michael Leach Design and set to premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Falcon Tenders has revealed more details about its first project, a limousine tender aimed particularly at 100m+ (328ft+) superyachts being designed by Michael Leach Design.

The British-based studio has plenty of experience of large yachts, being responsible for the design of 110m (360.8ft) ANNA, 95m (311.6ft) PALLADIUM and 93m (305ft) ‘Lady S’ amongst others. The 10.5m (34.5ft) tender will be a departure from the norm and is also the first project it has worked on without an owner’s brief to follow.

“Having worked on 100m+ yachts, we understand the functionality and diversity that is required for their matching tenders,” explains Mark Smith, Director at Michael Leach Design. “Interestingly, the Falcon Tenders limousine and open tender are the first boats that we have worked on without the confines of an owner’s brief. Having personally known Mark Pascoe since the 1980s and with the boatbuilding expertise that he and his team bring to the table, we at MLD are very excited to be partnering with Falcon Tenders on their debut models.”

Falcon Tenders, have said the new limousine tender will be “pitched at the upper end of the large tender market” and features reclaimed teak on the exterior deck areas and Scottish leather upholstery clad interiors.

The Scottish leather is sourced from hides reared through a “unique blend of animal husbandry and fertile grazing” and is a hint at the sustainable measures the tender manufacturer places importance on.

"We at Falcon believe it is essential to protect the environment for future generations, this is why we are working extremely hard to maintain a sustainable business” says Mark Pascoe, Founder & CEO of Falcon Tenders.

“Many superyacht owners and project managers are looking to tender manufacturers to bridge the gap between performance and ocean preservation. As a small fully-custom builder we are able to easily diversify and include the latest in hybrid and electric propulsion as the technology advances. We are even able to offer retrofit systems to existing tenders. Sustainability is at the core of the Falcon Tenders brand appealing to the younger generation of yacht owners today and relevant to the owners of tomorrow.”

Other sustainable measures see the main hull and deck structures being made from plant-based epoxy resin derived from the latest innovations in bio-based chemistry and hybrid technology that ensures there are zero emission transitions throughout the port and inshore waters. Falcon Tenders has also revealed they do have plans for a fully electric open version of the tender.

Falcon Tenders was established earlier this year and is led by Mark Pascoe, co-founder of tender manufacturer Pascoe International, and Dean Stoneman, a former P1 Powerboat Champion. Its new limousine tender is anticipated to make its world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
