Gulf Craft has today announced Talal Abdin Nasralla as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Acting CEO, Abeer Alshaali will move to an advisory role as Deputy Managing Director.
Nasralla's remit will be to drive the company’s new global growth strategy and continue to strengthen its in-house design and production capabilities.
He expressed his excitement on moving into the new role, saying: “With the deep experience and insights of our Chairman and the board guiding us, we will leverage Gulf Craft’s competencies as a proud ‘Made in UAE’ company delivering world-class yachts to the world.”
Gulf Craft’s Chairman Mohammed H. Alshaali added: “Building on our nearly four decades of heritage in yacht and boat manufacturing, we are now focused on an expansion strategy that will take the Gulf Craft brand to new territories globally. Talal, who brings over 15 years of experience, will lead our management team to strengthen the company’s position as a global industry leader.”
Nasralla joined Gulf Craft in late 2020 as Chief Strategy Officer, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge of the UAE market having worked for some major names in the banking sector. His previous roles have included Director of Private Banking at Barclays PLC, Director at Credit Suisse AG and Director of the Executive Office at Shuaa Capital PSC.
He is a permanent replacement for former CEO Gregory Yeakle who stepped down in June 2019 after a year in the role.
The news comes after a busy 2020 for Gulf Craft which saw them deliver four yachts including the world's largest composite superyacht and its largest yacht to date the 53.34m (175ft) Majesty 175.
Its growth in the industry is shown by its figures in the past ten years, having delivered 60 yachts since 2011. In the ten-year period before that, from 2001 to 2010, it delivered 27 yachts. To view its entire portfolio you can browse all new and used Gulf Craft yachts for sale.
