Completing the first phase in September 2020, a soft opening witnessed visits from a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 479 sailing boat and a Ferretti Yachts 670, but now there's even more to see as the project is completed.
As one of many projects implemented to accommodate the growing yachting demand in Asia, the Lantau Yacht Club can accommodate 148 yachts in what is described as a 'typhoon-proof environment.
With the majority of berths suitable for yachts ranging from 10-60 metres (33-197ft), there are ample berths also readily available for superyachts up to 100m (328ft).
Expecting 'more inter-continental cruising activities' as the COVID restrictions alter with the rate of infections, Charlotte Ho, the Director of Hospitality Marketing and Membership of Auberge Hospitality, is keen to emphasize that 'as a redeveloped marina, (Lantau Yacht Club) has berths available for existing and prospective yacht owners, as well as the capacity to welcome visiting yachts from abroad'.
In addition to the reconstructed concrete pontoons and superyacht berths, the marina previously known as the Discovery Bay Marina Club has also redeveloped the amenities to accommodate the extra visitors.
Boasting a sophisticated clubhouse, complete with a restaurant, entertainment facility and idyllic exteriors, visitors can make the most of the marina before heading north to Disneyland Hong Kong or across the water to Victoria Harbour and the new Hong Kong Boat Show.
With a broad range of excursion options in close proximity to the newly refurbished marina, there's plenty of reasons to visit the new development.
