Support yacht TIME OFF is the ninth hull of Damen Yachting’s YS 5009 series and features a flexible design and a number of enhancements to onboard comfort. She will be ready for delivery in the summer.

Damen Yachting has announced that 55m (180.4ft) support yacht TIME OFF, the ninth hull of its YS 5009 series, has been launched at its yard in Antalya and will be ready for delivery this summer.

The support vessel sports a number of new features that set her apart from her predecessors. A new accommodation layout provides space for seven guests and four staff plus crew members and enhancements have been made to onboard comfort including a generator sound enclosure, upgraded AV and navigation systems and updated engine room installations.

In keeping with other models she features a large multipurpose main deck hangar which can be configured for a range of uses including submersible and dive operations, vehicle garage or workshop facilities, stowage of equipment or space for socialising.

The flexible nature of support yacht TIME OFF is enhanced further by a 50 square-meter (538 sq. ft) area aft which can again be tailored to suit onboard needs and can serve as a fully equipped dive center, additional storage to additional activity facilities or even as a laboratory and research area.

“The fact that Time Off is the ninth Yacht Support to be launched from our YS 5009 design speaks volumes. The flexibility this design offers our clients to really make the vessel work to their own yachting needs and requirements is what continues to make it so popular. We are all very proud to see her hit the water in Antalya and look forward to seeing the finishing touches come together” said Wouter Kleijpoel, Design Manager for Yacht Support vessels.

It is being used as a support vessel to support yacht GENE MACHINE, also owned by Rothberg, and will be used to combat global warming and to clean up the oceans and the air.
