Following on from the success of the newly-launched X95, Princess has added to its X-Class range with an entry-level model designed to rival its competitors on both space and style.
With plenty of scope for customisation and design from naval architect Bernard Olesinski in collaboration with Pininfarina, the X80 has been described by the British manufacturer as a bold move.
The superyacht promises extended space to rival the proportions of larger interiors. Its innovative layout means it’s 30% more spacious inside than a traditional flybridge superyacht of the same length.
The X80 offers accom for eight guests in four cabins as standard, with all accommodation on the lower deck with a full-beam master amidships.
Demonstrating this models' versatility, there is scope for a main deck master with a private sundeck on the upper deck.
As standard, eight guests are accommodated across four cabins, all below deck, including a full-beam cabin amidships. There can be space for ten, though, if the Owners chooses to swap the main-deck dining area for a forward cabin, resulting in an upper deck cabin with a private sundeck.
Outside, there’s plenty of space for sunbathing on the foredeck while, aft, are communal areas for exterior dining and relaxing.

The Princess X80 ‘Super Flybridge’
Like the X95, the X80 has a ‘Super Flybridge’ that stretches along much of the yacht’s length. It uses that space for a skylounge amidships, with a staircase to port that connects it directly to the main salon below.
The sky lounge is an intimate communal area with a sofa and a table, and a set of windows that offer a wide ocean view. It’s immediately aft of the wheelhouse, which can be hidden away forward of sliding doors when guests desire some privacy.
Outside, the flybridge has another communal area aft, which provides a generous view over the stern as well as more comfy seating. The foredeck, meanwhile, has sunpads for sunbathing. As an optional extra, they can also be folded up to create a pair of sofas.
The main deck: a roomy main salon and customizable forward space
The main deck aft features a tender garage that stores a 4m (13’) Williams Sportjet 395 and some watertoys. There’s an exterior dining area that leads to the main salon through a wide sliding door.
The Superfly setup of the X80 has created a large main salon, complete with plenty of seating, a central table and a bar area forward. Its calmingly pearlescent white colour scheme is complemented by the big windows, which give impressive views of the sea outside.

Forward is a dining area, mixing chairs and sofas to accommodate all eight guests. The room also gets a widescreen TV. Should they want to take more guests onto the X80, though, this space can instead be turned into the Owner’s cabin. Combined with the four cabins below deck, this would let the yacht carry ten people.
This forward cabin would come with a double bed and a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window.
Lower deck: dynamic guest cabins for up to eight
Should they get the X80 as standard, the Owner will find their cabin below deck and amidships, letting them make full use of the 6m (20’) beam. There are also three guests cabins (two double and one twin), with all of them getting en-suites.
Aft are crew quarters that, as standard, can accommodate up to three, although Owners can get provisions for five as an option.
Performance and deep-V hull stability
This flybridge yacht is powered by twin MAN engines that can put out up to 3,800hp. With these, it has a maximum top speed of 31 knots.
The high-deadrise, deep-V planing hull gives increased stability in the water both at anchor and when the yacht is at high speed.
