Sanlorenzo has added to its SD line with the SD118, which features the Italian yard's popular asymmetrically-configured upper deck design, with the overall yacht the work of designer Bernardo and Martina Zuccon.
The innovation has previously been used on the yard’s SL Line and aims to increase space and flexibility of use whilst providing direct views of the sea from both sides.
The port side of the upper deck features a side deck that leads seamlessly from stern to bow with her bulwark opening to form a terrace. The starboard side is more in keeping with a wide-body hull and brings guests closer to the water.
Amongst other interesting features she has a forward outdoor living area organized across two connected levels, the upper deck and forward deck. This ensures a large area for alfresco living, with the owner having direct access from a sliding hatch concealed beneath the staircase.
A revised stern area also adds space in comparison to previous models in the SD line and, at anchor, the area is transformed into a 19 square meter swim platform ideal for sunbathing and diving.
The Sanlorenzo SD118 has space for ten guests across five cabins. The 170GT yacht is powered by two Caterpillar C32 Acert diesel engines and has a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 19 knots.
It is reported that five units have already been sold, with one hull, sporting interior design by Bernardo and Martina Zuccon, scheduled to premiere at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival. A second version will have interiors styled by Patricia Urquiola.
