Sanlorenzo launch first 57Steel in La Spezia

Sanlorenzo successfully launches the first hull of the 57Steel, currently scheduled for an early 2023 delivery.

Constructed in the Sanlorenzo superyacht production facility at La Spezia, the 56.5m (185.36ft) superyacht features interior designs by Studio Vickers of London and exteriors by Bernardo Zuccon of the Zuccon International Project.

With four yachts already under construction, the new 57Steel extends the Sanlorenzo Steel range, offering Owners a useful option between what was a large jump from the Sanlorenzo 52Steel to the 62Steel.

Identifying that the initial goal was to craft a superyacht with a Gross Tonnage of around 1,050 - impressive for the length - with all the functionality and features usually found on a larger vessel, Zuccon International Project has certainly stepped up its game on what has been its most ambitious project to date.

The external lines have a defined and extremely fluid, transparent and lucid progression in which the yard's language shines through.

Continuing the Italian yard's sharp and incredibly hard-working designs across its superyachts for sale, the exterior includes the muscular, chisselled topsides and a long stretch of tri-deck superstructure. On deck, the feature glass-bottomed pool on the main deck aft has rightly been retained, lighting up the beach club below, a tri-fold design opening up the entire stern.

The layout as a whole also deserves attention, with the traditional setup being omitted in exchange for the helm being moved from the bow of the upper deck to the bridge deck and the Owner's cabin coming complete with its own private deck space.

Also, thanks to the altered layout for the Sanlorenzo 57Steel, there's a full beam VIP cabin situated main deck forward that can essentially become a second master cabin.

Interior designs, which are yet to be revealed, have been penned by Studio Vickers of London, who has worked closely alongside the new Owners to create what is described by the team as 'warm and cosy environments'.
