The The ShowBoats Design Awards 2012, held in February at the prestigious Superyacht Design Symposium, brought together industry leaders, yacht builders, and enthusiasts to celebrate outstanding achievements in the world of yachting. The Interior Design Award: Displacement Motor Yachts 200′+ category celebrated a lineup of standout models, showcasing the best the industry had to offer. Claiming the title, Musashi stood out among the rest, with several other notable finalists, including entries from Amels, Abeking & Rasmussen, Feadship, Rossinavi, Freire Shipyard, and Benetti Yachts. The event was open to everyone, providing an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere to honour the year’s most acclaimed yachts.
Winner
The yacht Musashi was the winner of the Interior Design Award: Displacement Motor Yachts 200′+ in 2012 at the The ShowBoats Design Awards.
Designer Sander Sinot was commended for ‘his achievement of modern elegance through pure design’ in this hotly contested category. Musashi was awarded the highest marks by three-quarters of the jury and she was particularly admired for her large windows, engineered by Feadship and De Voogt Design Studio, which create a feeling of unity with the elements.
