Caterpillar C9 Range

The Caterpillar C9 engine, introduced in 2017, is a six-cylinder, 8.8-liter powerhouse weighing 864kg. It delivers a torque of up to 1,668Nm at 2,200rpm, with power ranging from 275hp to 375hp.

Its air inlet system features a corrosion-resistant sea water aftercooler core and a closed air cleaner/fumes disposal system, while an electronic governor, HEUI fuel system, and A4 electronic control module manage control. The cooling system includes a thermostat, belt-driven centrifugal jacket water pump, and gear-driven auxiliary sea water pump, while the exhaust system boasts a water-cooled exhaust manifold and wastegate turbocharger.
