Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 26'3" beam and a 8'3" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 345 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the 37 XP design. Launched in August 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 2021.

Exterior Design

The exterior of the yacht Alaia has a purposeful and robust aesthetic, characteristic of Numarine's XP series. The design features an extended length, with lines that create a balanced appearance between strength and elegance. The vessel's exterior is marked by a knuckle bow and an X-shape in the superstructure amidships, distinguishing the full-height saloon windows from the main deck master windows.

Alaia’s flybridge, measuring nearly 10 meters long, offers 80 square meters of space for both lounging in the sun and shaded dining under the hardtop. The foredeck provides additional relaxation areas with sunpads and a table for casual gatherings. The use of large, uninterrupted glass panels, particularly in the floor-to-ceiling windows of the saloon and the main deck owner's cabin, enhances visibility and allows for expansive views of the sea.

Interior Design

The interior of the Alaia has a palette of grey, white, beige, and brown tones, bringing a sophisticated ambiance. The main saloon, designed with an emphasis on natural light, features enormous angular windows that allow sunlight to illuminate the space. These windows, which include a sliding door on the dining table's port side, ensure an open, airy environment with uninterrupted views.

The galley, situated conveniently near the formal dining area, facilitates efficient meal preparation and service. For those preferring to dine al fresco, a dumb waiter connects the galley to the top deck, ensuring seamless service throughout the yacht.

Inside, the lounges and salons are furnished with pieces from brands like Fendi Casa and Promemoria, providing a blend of comfort and style. The main saloon features a combination of sofas, armchairs, and a coffee table, creating a welcoming space for social interaction. The design integrates rich materials such as ebony, mother-of-pearl accents, and high-quality leather.

The use of dark brown striped oak for furniture, complemented by Sand Erable wood on the walls, adds depth and texture to the interior spaces. Lighting fixtures, including crystal chandeliers, enhance the design without overwhelming.

Accommodation

The yacht Alaia can host up to 14 guests across seven cabins. Among these, the main deck features an owner's suite located at the bow, providing expansive views and a full-width his-and-hers bathroom.

In addition, there is a full-beam VIP cabin situated amidships on the lower deck. This cabin rivals the owner suite in its spaciousness and comfort. The lower deck also houses additional guest accommodations, including one double cabin and three twin cabins, all designed with custom-sized beds larger than typical twins. These cabins are equipped with round portlights that can be opened to allow fresh air to circulate.

She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. The yacht also accommodates a nanny cabin on the lower deck, providing a dedicated space for staff.
