In the dynamic realm of luxury yachts, constant evolution is the norm as shipyards aim to exceed the expectations of the most discerning clients. Among these industry innovators stands Numarine, the Istanbul-based shipyard celebrated for its unwavering commitment to quality, performance, and cutting-edge design.
A notable model in Numarine's lineup is the Numarine 26 XP, with ten units delivered in the first three years of production and two more set for delivery in spring 2024.
The 26 XP, is a large-volume motor yacht and the fastest 26m (85ft) in its class, achieving a remarkable top speed of 31 knots. This super-sporty yacht can be customized with either a displacement hull or a planing hull with bigger engines, as well as with a three, four, or five cabin layout. The 65sq/m (699.6sq/ft) flybridge is one of the biggest in the market. With twin MAN 560 engines, the 26XP range is an impressive 3,000nm.
Can Yalman, a long-term collaborator with Numarine, designed both the exterior and interior of the 26 XP. The yacht sports a raised pilothouse design, optimizing volume and efficiency. The interior draws inspiration from Scandinavian simplicity and sustainability, with an alternative version created in collaboration with Istanbul-based Ofist Design Studio.
“We wanted a vertical bow for the look and feel of the explorer yacht, but to have a vertical bow you needed a narrow taper towards the bow to make the yacht look elegant and sleek. This would have really affected the space towards the bow so we needed a different solution. The knuckle form created a step to the flow towards the bow allowing a robust muscular forward stance, a visual character line, a wider space for the cabin as well as a greater flare to divert the spray from the waves.”
The Numarine 26 XP can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests across five ensuite staterooms. If this configuration is chosen, the yacht will feature four guest cabins on the lower deck and a stunning master stateroom on the main deck forward. The master suite includes floor-to-ceiling windows and bulwark cutouts, offering unparalleled sea views and an optional private fold-out balcony.
The guest spaces onboard are a highlight: with extensive use of glass and windows creating an open space and minimizing any view limitations, a large section of the salon windows can slide fully open embracing the sea breeze.
The 26 XP boasts a semi-open beach club at the stern, ingeniously created by elevating the deck above. This design choice results in a comfortable lounging area just steps from the main deck.
The yacht features three fold-down platforms, expanding the beach club space to 43sq/m (462.8sq/ft), and a side-loading tender bay capable of accommodating a tender up to 6.25m (20.5ft).
With the upcoming launch of the Mediterranean Explorer series in 2024, which includes the 40MXP, Numarine continues to redefine yacht design boundaries. The 39m (128ft) 40MXP, evolving from the 37XP model, will showcase an extended aft deck and a glass pool, providing an enhanced connection to the ocean for guests.
Numarine's distinguished range of explorer yachts, comprising the 22XP, 26XP, 30XP, 32XP, 37XP, 40MXP, and 45XP, has secured the shipyard a coveted position in Turquality®, the Turkish government's brand accreditation program. This acknowledgment underscores Numarine's effective management and commitment to stringent standards.
In addition to the latest vessel announcements, Numarine's management team has also been strengthened with Murat Şen taking on the role of general manager, leveraging his hands-on experience as the shipyard’s factory manager for the past eight years.
Alongside Sen, Bengü Özdoğan has been appointed as a new sales and marketing director to bolster the builder's commercial side. With a background in superyacht maintenance, refit, and repair, Özdoğan brings robust experience and expertise in marketing, sales strategy, and partnership management.
As Numarine celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2022, the shipyard reflected on over 160 units delivered since its inception. The brand stands as a testament to innovative design, state-of-the-art technology, and exceptional production quality, solidifying its place among the more established names in the international yachting industry.
