Delivered in 2002, Alexandra is a 49.95m motor yacht built by Italian shipyard Benetti. She features exterior design by Stefano Natucci and interior styling by Terence Disdale.

Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.97m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 496 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2000. Launched in January 2002 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2002.
Exterior Design
Alexandra features a raked bow, contributing to its aerodynamic profile. The decks are constructed from teak, providing durability and a classic appearance. The hull is painted blue, while the superstructure is white, offering a clear visual contrast. The boot top is also white, and below the waterline, the yacht is finished in black.
The upper deck design includes a semi-circular settee that provides guests with a commanding forward view. This area is shaded by the radar arch, offering a comfortable space regardless of the weather. The tinted glass screens that edge the sun deck ensure privacy while maintaining an open feel.
The sun deck itself is spacious and versatile, designed to accommodate both relaxation and social gatherings. It features a combination of sunpads and a spa pool for sunbathing, as well as seating areas that can be shaded by large umbrellas. Practical elements like a sliding hatchway, a lift for supplies, and a bar with a concealed refrigerator and icemaker facilitate easy service and convenience.
Interior Design
The interior design of Alexandra is defined by its understated elegance and functionality. The materials chosen, including light oak paneling with a scrubbed, open-grain texture and a matt finish, create a natural and inviting atmosphere. Burl oak surfaces with a lime-scrubbed finish add subtle white flecks in the grain, while carpets in beige or off-white harmonize with the overall decor. The bathrooms feature beige Crema Marfil marble, contributing to a cohesive design theme.
The main saloon and dining room are designed as an open-plan space, allowing the natural colors and textures of the furniture to be fully appreciated. Large glass doors on either side of the dining area open to transform the room into an open-air terrace, enhancing the sense of space and connection to the seascape. This arrangement provides flexibility, with the dining table capable of being lowered to serve as a coffee table. The saloon includes comfortable suede-upholstered settees and armchairs, complemented by a large, concealed television for entertainment.
The galley is equipped for professional use, featuring stainless steel surfaces and appliances, including electric hobs and ovens by Zanussi, as well as a steam oven. Additional storage is available in the form of a cold room and a dry store on the lower deck, ensuring that all culinary needs are met efficiently.
The helm area is compact yet professionally outfitted, featuring dusky blue leather trim and high-quality instruments from Decca and B&G. The communications room, located just behind the bridge, is equipped with the yacht’s radio, satcom, and satellite television receivers, ensuring clear and uninterrupted communication.
Accommodation
Alexandra offers accommodation for up to 14 guests. This layout includes a variety of cabin configurations to cater to different guest needs, ensuring a pleasant stay aboard this 50-meter semi-displacement motor yacht.
The owner's suite is positioned at the aft of the upper deck, providing an expansive and private living space. This full-beam cabin boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, offering magnificent exterior views. The owner's suite includes a spacious bedroom, a luxurious bathroom on the starboard side, a spacious dressing room, and a separate study across the hallway. This arrangement ensures maximum privacy and comfort for the owner.
On the main deck, Alexandra features two VIP double cabins located at the forward part. These cabins are mirror images of each other and come with large oval windows that allow natural light to fill the space. The VIP cabins also include luxurious bathrooms, ensuring a comfortable stay for the guests.
The lower deck houses four additional guest cabins configured as two doubles and two twins. The double cabins are slightly larger and come equipped with baths, while the twin cabins feature showers. This deck arrangement allows Alexandra to accommodate up to 14 guests, although charter regulations limit the yacht to a maximum of 12 passengers during periods of charter.
Alexandra also provides excellent living conditions for the crew. The 12 crew members have their quarters forward on the lower deck, consisting of pleasant twin cabins with en-suite shower rooms. The crew mess is comfortably furnished with blue leather seats, ensuring that the crew can relax and dine in a pleasant environment. The galley is fully equipped with professional-grade stainless steel surfaces and appliances, including electric hobs and ovens by Zanussi, ensuring efficient meal preparation.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 396 TE 94) 12-cylinder 2,262hp engines, motor yacht Alexandra is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 75,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,800 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Alexandra also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
