Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 59'1" beam and a 13'5" draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 4,402 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2017.

Exterior Design

Amadea's exterior design, conceived by the renowned Espen Øino, exudes sophistication through its functional yet stylish features. The yacht's 10-meter pool on the main deck captures attention with its overflowing edge cascading down a glass wall, a design choice Øino describes as "dramatic." This pool is flanked by loungers that give the illusion of floating, extending outward like wings from the vessel's core.

In a subtle integration of form and function, the yacht's transom incorporates an angular base that allows guests to comfortably sit and remove shoes without the need for additional seating, showcasing Øino's attention to detail and practicality in design.

The superstructure at the bow offers secluded spaces across multiple decks, each fashioned with cushions and loungers for private relaxation. This "clamshell arrangement" is cleverly designed to provide intimate nooks, which becomes evident when viewed from above, resembling overlapping shells.

The exterior's design includes numerous personal corners and recesses for seating, deliberately crafted to afford privacy and unobstructed sea views, with bulwarks that lower to enhance the maritime experience. Øino's approach to the yacht's layout demonstrates a thoughtful consideration for both the aesthetic and experiential aspects of the design.

The upper deck, known for its festive atmosphere, features a robust audio system and lighting, including built-in speakers and lasers, ready to accommodate any high-energy gathering. This space also offers versatility with a selection of culinary equipment, from a teppanyaki grill to a hog-roaster, emphasizing the yacht's capacity for entertainment and social events.

Amadea's lighting design is an understated yet integral component, with LED strips highlighting furniture and built into deck elements to enhance the yacht's ambiance after dark. The functionality extends to practicality, with stainless-steel poles designed to support awnings, all of which contribute to the vessel's adaptability to various social settings.

Amadea displays a thoughtful approach to creating a series of personal, comfortable spaces that cater to both socializing and privacy.

Interior Design

The interior design of Amadea, crafted by François Zuretti, balances classic sensibilities with modern comfort. The main deck saloon sets the stage with a double-height atrium, hand-painted Pleyel grand piano, and leather-covered walls that exude a sense of warmth and intimacy. The dining area is a focal point, featuring a full-beam dining table set beneath a ceiling adorned with hand-painted Michelangelo clouds, creating a space that is both impressive and inviting.

The use of backlit whiskies, brandies, and rums in clear bottles behind the bars introduces organic tones and a classic ambience, while the integration of 18th-century classic furniture contributes to the yacht's dignified atmosphere. Rich woods, onyx panels, and intricate deck motifs are indicative of the high level of detail and craftsmanship invested in the yacht's design.

The control of lighting, entertainment, and window treatments is managed through dedicated iPads, ensuring convenience and ease of use for guests.

The dining experience aboard Amadea extends to the top deck, where a winter patio offers an immersive dining environment for up to 24 guests. This area is decked with ferns and painted with lianas, with water trickling down a slate wall and indirect light filtering through opaque ceiling panels, emulating daylight. The adjacent galley gleams with copper pots and pans, featuring a large grill area and a live tank for lobsters, inviting guests to engage with their culinary experience.

Accommodation

Amadea offers a refined and spacious environment for up to 16 guests across eight elegantly appointed suites. These accommodations include an owner's suite, a distinguished VIP cabin, five double cabins designed for comfort and luxury, and a twin cabin, catering to various guest configurations and preferences.

The owner's deck presents a blend of personal indulgence and communal space, featuring a private office, a bathroom with an ornate bath, and a generously sized saloon and dining area. Outdoor elements include a large circular wooden table designed for expansion and a private terrace with a spa pool, under which a meticulously crafted night sky panorama twinkles with fiber-optic lighting.

To maintain the highest level of service, Amadea is engineered to accommodate a professional crew of up to 36 individuals. These crew quarters are designed for efficiency and comfort, enabling the crew to maintain impeccable service standards while ensuring their own rest and well-being during voyages.

Performance & Capabilities

Amadea is equipped with twin diesel MTU (20V 4000 M93L) engines, each producing 5,766 horsepower. These powerful engines enable the yacht to achieve a top speed of 20 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed set at 13 knots. This balance of power and efficiency ensures that guests can enjoy swift passages between destinations while still appreciating the tranquility of the voyage.

Her considerable range is a notable attribute, with fuel tanks capable of holding 392,000 liters, affording her an impressive maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles when cruising at 13 knots. This extensive range allows for long-distance travel without the need for frequent refueling stops, making Amadea ideal for extended voyages across oceans and along coastlines.

Amadea's capability to maintain stability and comfort for her guests and crew is further enhanced by the inclusion of stabilizers. These are particularly beneficial when the yacht is stationary, at anchor, or traversing rough seas, contributing to a more pleasant on-board experience by minimizing the effects of roll and pitch.

Amadea reflects a deliberate focus on creating a yacht that balances impressive entertainment features with private, serene spaces.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. For the ultimate relaxation experience, the yacht plays host to a luxury spa and massage room. In addition, full cinema facilities ensure five-star entertainment. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down.
