Avontuur is a 27.1m motor yacht delivered by Lynx Yachts in 2022. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Bernd Wheel Design, while Franck Darnet Design has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.1m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 110 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Crossover 27 design. Launched in March 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2022.
Exterior Design
Avontuur boasts a grey hull that complements the marine environment. The superstructure is finished in white creating a striking contrast against the hull. This color scheme is further accentuated by a black boot top and below-the-waterline coloring.
The aft deck space is expansive and is primarily used for storing water sports equipment and tenders but can be easily adapted for entertainment and relaxation. A significant feature of the deck is the massive 3.6-tonne capacity crane, capable of launching and retrieving tenders with ease, underscoring the yacht's capability as a base for water-based activities.
Moreover, the yacht's layout includes thoughtful details such as ample refrigeration, a robust Kenyan grill, and an open saloon area that leads to a seamless transition between the interior and exterior spaces. The use of outdoor beanbags and sun awnings enhances the informal and inviting atmosphere, making it ideal for leisure and social gatherings.
Interior Design
The main salon has an informal beach club vibe, driven by the use of light oak that brings a sense of calm and simplicity. This space is utilized for dining, with a table that can be adjusted to suit the occasion, surrounded by large windows that flood the area with natural light.
The galley is designed with an open-plan concept. Its location, slightly elevated, allows for a good vantage point over the salon while maintaining a connection with those seated below. The galley is equipped with substantial refrigeration, a big oven, and ample storage, including drawers conveniently filled with cutlery and cooking utensils, all within easy reach.
Avontuur’s helm station remains open to the rest of the interior, signifying the owner's preference for an inclusive environment where guests and crew can mingle freely. The helm itself is equipped with two full captain's chairs, a carbon fibre steering wheel, joystick control for navigation, and four touchscreen multifunctional displays (MFDs), indicating a high level of sophistication in navigational aids.
Accommodation
The Avontuur accommodates six guests across three cabins. The layout includes a particularly modest owner's cabin and a twin cabin, both equipped with ensuite bathrooms. The owner's cabin features a standard-sized double bed, ample floor space, and considerable storage. This choice underlines a preference for practicality over showmanship. The ensuite bathroom includes a large sink and walk-in shower, maintaining the yacht's consistent theme of understated elegance. The cabin opposite the owner's suite offers two single beds, good storage, and similar bathroom facilities, ensuring all guests enjoy comfort and privacy.
The Avontuur's crew share the same access to their accommodations as the guests. This layout includes a double cabin with a single bed option for the captain, who enjoys a large double bed and private ensuite facilities. An additional twin bunk cabin is provided for the crew, featuring its own toilet facilities but sharing a shower space with the captain's cabin.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C12.9) 12-cylinder 850hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Avontuur is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. She has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht and an inviting spread of sunpads.
