Delivered in 2022, Betty is a 25.9m Sport Fisher yacht built by American shipyard Grand Banks. Her interior and exterior has been penned in-house by the Grand Banks design team.

Key Features

  • Aft cockpit extends living space
  • Enclosed skylounge with big windows
  • Full displacement range of 3,000 nautical miles
  • Full beam owner's cabin with piano-style keyboard

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.7m beam. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 95 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Grand Banks 85 design. Launched in March 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Betty's raked bow cuts through the water with precision, while the hull's grey coloration adds a subtle elegance to its overall appearance. The superstructure's white color contrasts sharply with the hull. The deck, combining GRP and teak, offers both the practicality of modern materials and the timeless beauty of natural wood. This choice of materials not only ensures longevity but also enhances the yacht's visual appeal.

The aft cockpit serves as an extension of the living space, featuring ample room for dining and entertaining. A significant bar unit with refrigeration and storage space enhances this area's functionality. The integration of a window that can slide up and down further blurs the lines between the yacht's interior and exterior spaces.

Interior Design

The main salon, expansive due to the nearly six-meter beam, features discreet decor and large wraparound windows. Dark wood, treated with a special Japanese stain, contrasts with the light entering from outside.

The galley, positioned forward of the main lounge and dining area, replaces the traditional location of the interior helm station.  A notable feature within the galley is a pop-up hatch equipped with an IPS joystick and full controls, ensuring navigational capability remains at hand, even from the kitchen area.

The main helm station is located on the upper deck within the Sky Lounge, an area chosen by the owners to be enclosed. This decision allows for comfortable cruising in varied weather conditions without sacrificing the indoor-outdoor feel, thanks to large windows, some of which are operable, and an expansive sunroof.

Accommodation

Betty offers accommodation for up to six guests in three cabins. The owner's cabin is situated on the lowest level amidships to maximize the use of the yacht's full beam. The suite boasts large windows and opening portholes that invite natural light while offering panoramic views of the surrounding seascape.

The master bathroom features LCD glass, providing privacy at the touch of a button and is integrated seamlessly into the cabin's sophisticated design. An unexpected luxury within the master stateroom is a beautifully incorporated piano keyboard, hidden within the joinery. In addition to the owner's suite, Betty provides further guest accommodation in a VIP cabin located in the bow and a twin single cabin.

The crew quarters are accessible from the lazarette, offering two single cabins with wide berths, a shared bathroom with a decent-sized shower stall, a well-equipped galley, and a cozy dinette.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Volvo Penta (D13-IPS 1350) 6-cylinder 1,007hp engines, motor yacht Betty is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
