Delivered in 2022, Calex is an award winning 67m expedition yacht built by Italian shipyard Benetti. Her naval architecture and interior design comes from the drawing boards of Benetti, while Giorgio Cassetta is responsible for her exterior design.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.6m beam and a 3.1m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,250 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in February 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2022.
Exterior Design

Accommodation
Calex's interiors welcome up to twelve guests in her six beautifully appointed staterooms. The configuration includes two VIP cabins located on the forward section of the main deck, where vertical windows frame panoramic vistas of the sea, flooding the spaces with natural light. These VIP cabins boast equal size, underscoring the yacht's commitment to guest comfort and equality in luxury.
The lower deck is home to additional guest cabins, each crafted to provide a private retreat for guests, with bespoke furnishings and the finest materials creating an ambiance that is both inviting and tranquil. Ensuring a restorative night's sleep, the cabins are sanctuaries of calm, with sumptuous bedding and state-of-the-art entertainment systems.
The yacht provides accommodations that include televisions and ample space, fostering a positive and professional environment for the sixteen crew members who are essential to the seamless operation of the vessel.
Performance & Capabilities
At the heart of Calex's performance are twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M53) 12-cylinder 1,876hp engines running at 1800rpm.
Speed is a critical factor in the performance of any yacht, and Calex is designed to deliver an optimal balance of high-speed cruising capabilities and comfortable long-range voyages. Calex is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots.
The range of a yacht is indicative of its ability to undertake extensive voyages without the need for frequent refueling stops. Calex, constructed with exploration in mind, has 127,000 litre fuel tanks which provide a maximum range of 4,400 nautical miles cruising at 12 knots, allowing her owner and guests to traverse vast distances and explore the far reaches of the world's oceans.
Calex has included selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, which represents Benetti's dedication to environmental responsibility. This technology significantly reduces emissions from the diesel generators, marking Calex as not only a luxury vessel but also a yacht that is conscious of its ecological footprint. The need to accommodate the SCR system led to a larger engine room, exemplifying the shipyard's ability to adapt and innovate to meet both performance and environmental standards.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
