  • Exercise room with entertainment centre

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.84m beam and a 2.97m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 286 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Chantal Ma Vie features a raked bow that enhances both its aesthetic appeal and performance on the water. The deck is crafted from teak, providing durability and a classic maritime appearance. The hull is painted a striking dark blue, while the superstructure is finished in a contrasting white, offering a clean and sharp visual profile. The boot top stripe is also white, adding a refined detail to the overall design. Below the waterline, the hull is coated in black, maintaining a cohesive and practical look. This straightforward yet effective combination of materials and colors contributes to the yacht’s distinctive exterior.

A notable feature is the aft section, where the existing transom was removed and additional length added. This modification created a fishing cockpit that also serves as a diving and swimming platform. The exterior is fitted with diving lockers built into the aft-peak bulkhead, providing convenient access from the fishing cockpit.

On the upper levels, the sun deck has been extended to include a helipad, primarily intended for emergency use rather than regular operations. The helipad is complemented by an oval Jacuzzi spa-pool, offering a practical solution for relaxation.

The wheelhouse, located aloft, functions as a strictly operational space, equipped with advanced navigational technology such as dual radars, auto-pilot systems, and gyro compasses. The design here emphasizes utility over aesthetics, maintaining an environment akin to that of a commercial vessel.

Interior Design

The interior design of Chantal Ma Vie reflects a blend of functionality and refined aesthetics. The primary materials used throughout the yacht are light, limed-oak joinery and off-white vinyl ceilings, which are offset by thin strips of mirror. Recessed light fittings, gold-plated for added detail, break up the ceiling's expanse.

The main deck features an aft deck lounge, serving as an enclosed conservatory or sun-room, with windows on three sides and a door leading to steps down to the fishing cockpit. This room encompasses a granite-topped wet bar, a built-in entertainment system, multi-colored McQuire furniture, and an eight-seater circular marble-topped table, providing a complete living environment.

Forward of this lounge, double doors open into the more formal main saloon. This area includes a comfortable seating arrangement, a gaming table, and an entertainment center concealed behind antique mirrors in a pillar-flanked partition. Beyond the partition lies the dining area, which houses an oval dining table that seats 12. The table showcases contrasting inlaid veneers with a high-gloss lacquered finish.

The main deck also contains a well-equipped galley. It includes a six-burner stove, grill, two ovens, a large microwave, two dishwashers, two ice-making machines, a freezer, and five refrigerators. The galley is decorated in white with ash trim and features dumbwaiters serving the sun-deck and crew quarters. The pantry door opens into the dining area, exposing the galley to those seated at the head of the table.

On the lower deck, a winding staircase leads up to the boat-deck lounge, situated amidships. This lounge is equipped with a breakfast and wet bar, featuring tables and a bar topped with matching multi-colored granite. The lounge's decor contrasts with the more subdued hues found elsewhere on the yacht, utilizing a colorful French carpet. The exterior deck includes an inlaid teak table seating eight and houses two Novamarine tenders.

The wheelhouse, located aloft, is a functional space with lacquered bird's eye maple trim and panels. Despite the use of luxury materials, the area maintains the atmosphere of a commercial vessel's bridge. The wheelhouse is equipped with advanced navigation systems, including radars, gyro compasses, and an auto-pilot system, ensuring operational efficiency.

Accommodation

Chantal Ma Vie offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites. The Owner's Suite, located on the main deck, spans the full beam of the yacht and includes a spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed, a study, and a luxurious bathroom. The bathroom is finished in pink marble and features twin washbasins, a separate shower room, and his-and-her toilets. Additionally, the suite includes a walk-in dressing room.

On the lower deck, the VIP suite is available for important guests. This suite is equipped with a queen-size bed, an entertainment center, and a bathroom adorned with ivory marble floors and walls, complemented by an inlaid, multi-colored mosaic marble strip.

The remaining guest cabins are situated aft on the lower deck and are accessible via a staircase from the main saloon. Two cabins feature a double bed, a single settee berth, and a folding pullman berth, allowing accommodation for up to four guests in each cabin. The other two cabins each have a double berth. All guest cabins are equipped with a shower room, panelled in Corian simulated-marble, with wash-basins trimmed in gold and granite surfaces.
