Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 27'11" beam and a 9'5" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 373 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was delivered to her owners in January 1990.
Exterior Design
Cloud Atlas has been transformed from her original 40m build into a 46m masterpiece. The six-meter extension not only boosted the main and upper decks but also imparted a sleeker profile to the yacht overall. Technological advancements were a key focus of the refit, with extensive hydrodynamic improvements and the addition of zero speed stabilizer fins ensuring maximum comfort onboard.
A notable addition is the large, side-opening garage, accommodating the Castoldi tender, a three-person personal watercraft, and all the water toys a guest may desire. Cloud Atlas now boasts enhanced performance, with increased speed, reduced noise levels, improved stability, and greater fuel efficiency than ever before.
The exterior color scheme remains timeless, with the bronze hull complementing the pristine white superstructure. The high-raked bow leads to a functional foredeck area, featuring forward-facing guest sun pads integrated into the raked glazing. The foredeck level gently descends to meet the side decks.
Moving aft, the extended bathing platform provides direct access to the water, enhancing the yacht's connection to the sea. Twin staircases from the main deck aft lead to this versatile space, complete with a convenient storage system at the bottom of the stairs. The main deck aft offers ample sun lounging space, partially shaded by the upper deck overhang, with stairways conveniently located to starboard.
Al fresco dining on the upper deck aft is a stylish affair, centered around a large table surrounded by Tom Dixon Cappellini S chairs. Convertible tables enhance convenience, complementing the banquette seating. Large cranes are discreetly positioned on this deck, ready for use when needed. The sun deck features a square jacuzzi pool with elevated sun pad areas, providing the ultimate relaxation spot.
Interior Design
Rich Australian rosewood and burr walnut adds a luxurious contrast of light and dark tones that permeates the yacht's interior. The main salon boasts a ceiling adorned with brass-trimmed random-cut mirrors, creating an illusion of height and spaciousness. Cabinetry divides the space between lounging and dining areas, while decor elements captivate the eye. From crocodile skin panels adorning the bar and central island to supple Connolly hide used for the settee and bar stools, every detail exudes opulence. Revolving trays within the wine cabinet showcase gems from the yacht's extensive wine cellar.
Accommodation
Cloud Atlas offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 DITA) 1,750hp engines, motor yacht Cloud Atlas is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 15,850 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 15 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
